{blackbabes} Naomie Harris Covers Cosmopolitan U.K., Says You "Absolutely" Can Be a Feminist and a Bond Girl!

Naomie Harris, Cosmopolitan U.K.
Naomie Harris, Cosmopolitan U.K.

Naomie Harris is radiant in red on the cover of Cosmopolitan U.K.!

The 39-year-old actress, who will reprise her Skyfall role as Eve Moneypenny he upcoming James Bond movie Spectre, talks to the mag's November issue about a variety of women's issues—including whether she can be considered a feminist and a Bond girl.

"I think you absolutely can now," she says. "Sam [Mendes, director] loves strong, multidimensional women; that's incredibly important to him. Barbara Broccoli [daughter of original Bond producer Albert] is at the helm of the franchise too, and she's a strong woman who has a big say in how the characters are developed."

Naomie Harris, Cosmopolitan U.K.

"You can see that in SpectreMonica Bellucci's character is incredible feisty, and rejects Bond's help," she continues. "She's like 'I can do this on my own!'"

Offscreen, though, Naomie is well aware of the challenges women in Hollywood face. "It's very difficult to find roles as well-written as male ones, and with as much screen time," she admits. "Then there's one amazing script that sparks your imagination, and gets you really excited. They are there, it's just they're mostly dominated by male roles..."

Naomie Harris, Cosmopolitan U.K.

Naomie tells Cosmopolitan U.K. she thinks "it's tougher for women in film" than it is for the fellas. She named Meryl Streep and Reese Witherspoon as female stars who "can consistently open movies," acknowledging, "There are women doing it, but yeah, it's harder."

Also challenging at times? The peer pressure Naomie faces to settle down! "I'm nearly 40, so lots of my friends are like, 'I have to get married and have a baby'; they're freaking out," she says. "I just think, 'What will be will be. Everyone tries to drag me in with them; it's almost like they're trying to scare me that I haven't ticked those boxes yet."

Naomie's full interview appears in the November 2015 issue of Cosmopolitan U.K., on sale Oct. 1. It's also available in digital edition on Apple Newsstand.

{blackbabes} HTGAWM: Sherri Saum Set for Season 2 — Who Will the Fosters Star Play?

Sherri Saum HTGAWM

The Fosters is letting Sherri Saum get away with working a second job.

The actress has signed on to guest-star in a Season 2 episode of How to Get Away With Murder, TVLine has learned exclusively.

An HTGAWM rep confirmed Saum's casting, but declined to provide any details about her character.

The fact that The Fosters and HTGAWM both fall under the Disney umbrella (ABC Family and ABC, respectively) likely helped Saum cut through any potential contract-related red tape.

Saum's episode is slated to air later this fall.

{blackbabes} Zoë Saldana Opens Up About Her Twins’ NICU Experience: ‘My Husband and I Were at the Mercy of Our Nurses and Doctors’

Zoë Saldana knows what it takes to care for premature babies because she's lived through it herself.

"When I was in the neonatal intensive care unit with my two sons, I became like every parent that was on that floor," the actress, 37, tells PEOPLE. "My husband and I were at the mercy of our nurses and doctors — our children's lives depended on their every move."

Saldana's own experience in the NICU with her twins Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio, now 10 months, inspired her to get involved with Brave Beginnings, a nonprofit that works to ensure hospitals have the life-saving equipment needed to help premature babies thrive.

Zoe Saldana NICU Why I Care

"When children are born prematurely, they don't just need to be held, they need assistance breathing, feeding and going to the bathroom," Saldana explains. "They also need incubators to protect them while they're forming immune systems."

In 2015 alone, Brave Beginnings has committed 1 million dollars in grants to ensure hospitals around the United States have the equipment they need to give these babies a chance.

"This equipment can mean the difference between life and death for a child, that's just the truth," she says. "If a child can't breathe and doesn't have the equipment to help him breathe we can't help him with our own hands."

Saldana's hope is that every child born in the U.S. will have access to the same quality of care that her sons received.

"I went through it," she adds. "I was there. I was a parent and my children were the ones that benefitted from having excellent services from the hospital. And I want that for every parent. I want that for every child."

{blackbabes} Mariah Carey Is Releasing "All I Want" Lipstick with Mac For Christmas & Full Makeup Collection Next Year!

Mariah Carey, Mac
Mariah Carey, Mac

Forget the presents—all you're going to want in your stocking this year is Mariah Carey's lipstick.

Famous for their A-list celebrity beauty collaborations (like Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and Rihannato name a few), of course Mac Cosmetics could recruit the Christmas-loving diva as their latest muse.

And since the singer worships the holiday season so much that she's basically a modern day Mrs. Clause at this point, it's no surprise her first product (available in December) will be a frothy champagne lipstick titled "All I Want."

"Mac has been my go-to makeup brand for as long as I can remember and I'm so thrilled to be collaborating with them on a lipstick debuting this December, just in time for the holiday season!" Carey gushed. "The champagne frosted 'All I Want' shade is elegant, sophisticated and glamorous."

But wait, there's more. In addition to Mariah's holiday-inspired lipstick, the singer is also set to launch an entire makeup collection with the brand in 2016.

"My Mac Beauty Icon collection will be launching in 2016 and is certain to not disappoint," she added.

{blackbabes} Criminal Minds: Meet Aisha Tyler's "Smart, Foxy, Badass" Dr. Tara Lewis

Thomas Gibson and Aisha Tyler, Criminal Minds

Forget the role -- Aisha Tyler has finally gotten the look she's always wanted on Criminal Minds.

"I'm just too much of a wimp to cut my hair short in real life. I've always wanted to do it, but I'm too much of a puss, so this was an easy way to get a short haircut without having to commit to it," Tyler tells TVGuide.com of her pixie wig on the show. "I love it because it's so fun. It takes me like five minutes to get my hair done. It's always styled. I also really wanted there to be a visual heart stop and a really easy way for people to see that Tara Lewis is different from me and any of my other dramatic roles. "

The short 'do is also fitting for her character, Dr. Tara Lewis, a forensic psychologist who joins the team after impressing Hotch (Thomas Gibson) in the Season 11 premiere (Wednesday, 9/8c, CBS). All business -- but not necessarily no play -- Lewis has a no fuss, no muss air about her from the moment she walks on screen. "She is definitely not one of those people who gets up in the morning and gets dressed up. She just goes," Tyler says. "She's fun and she's funny and engaged and passionate, so I think she connects with the team in that way. She means business for sure. She has a really, really specific set of goals. It definitely fits her and you definitely understand who she is when you see that haircut."

Exclusive Criminal Minds first look: Introducing JJ's new baby!

The hope is for fans to get her too. Lewis, who's a recurring character on the show, is the third new BAU member in four seasons, following Blake (Jeanne Tripplehorn) and Kate (Jennifer Love Hewitt), the latter of whom departed in May after just one season. If replacing one person is not enough, Tyler, who had been itching to act in another drama for a while, is also filling in the void left by A.J. Cook, who is on maternity leave until the seventh episode. Executive producer Erica Messer decided to go a different route this year and not bring in anyone permanent -- yet.

"There has been a lot of changes recently, but that's what happens in life. People come and go at work, but people also stay and we've been lucky to have our core heroes for as long as we've had," she says. "Aisha is filling both right now, so it feels like if it we're lucky to keep her around, it'll be an extension of that. Hotch in the premiere mentions we need to find someone else, not just with JJ gone, but with Kate. We're down two agents right now, but we'll still be down one when A.J. comes back. Can we survive as a team of six instead of seven? I think we can, but we'll see. We love Aisha so much and we want everyone to get to know Tara."

Since she's a forensic psychologist, Lewis hasn't done any field work, which is why she wants to join the BAU. But don't think she'll gag at the sight of a dead body like Strauss (RIP) did. "This is something she definitely wants to do as the next step in her career," Tyler says. "She's a very skilled analyst and has this incredible depth of knowledge of how the mind of a sociopath operates. She does have field training because ... anybody who works for the FBI has field training, but she has been able to put it to use yet."

She'll get her chance pretty soon and definitely won't make Hotch regret her hire. "She may be business and very driven, but she's a delight to be around. For the BAU, which deals with very ghoulish and macabre situations, they're thrilled to have someone who's capable and adds value to the team," Tyler says. "In terms of me, Aisha, I love it and everyone here. In terms of Tara, I think she fits right in."

Lewis' forensic psychology background also puts a new arrow in the BAU's crime-fighting quiver. The team analyzes unsubs to catch them, but Lewis' job has been analyzing them after they've been caught, and Messer is looking forward to uniting the two worlds more. "Because of the nature of our show, we can't focus on the after that much. You see a little bit sometimes with the interrogations and what Tara brings is this much-needed expertise," Messer says. "She can read them and understand them on a different level than our heroes do. It's a very important skill set and I think you'll see how vital it is."

Fall Preview: Scoop on returning fall shows

For Tyler, Lewis' character and how she goes about her job also speak to a larger issue of the treatment of mental illness in society in general. "The thing I like about Tara Lewis is that she understands mental illness is a facet of human existence. It cannot be eradicated," she says. "I think a lot of us would rather not think of the sociopathy of the mentally ill or think of it as an aberration, but the fact of it is that it's a naturally occurring aspect of the human condition. And it's how do you deal with that, how do you treat it better, how do you prevent people who are mentally ill from hurting other people. It's something we're trying to figure out now. ... She brings a very different perspective on mental illness and sociopathy to the show. It doesn't mean that she's not willing to put whatever it takes to put someone behind bars. It's just that she understands there are always gonna be bad people and we have to understand on some level that they're human and hopefully prevent them from doing bad things."

So far, Tyler is only booked for six episodes, but both the Talk co-host and Messer hopes Lewis will stick around. "We're trying to negotiate getting her to come back for more episodes. She's so competent, so likeable, so intelligent," Messer says. "That's in front of the camera and behind it. Fitting in with this group of experts is no easy task, but she makes it look easy. We want her on board as long as we can."

"I'm really proud of this character," Tyler adds. "Erica and Breen [Frazier, a writer] have just given me so much to do in such little time. The writers are incredible. It's just been a blast to play. I really like her quite a bit. She's smart, foxy and badass, so I'm definitely having a lot of fun playing her."

Criminal Minds returns Wednesday at 9/8c on CBS.

{blackbabes} Serena coach hints at rest after US Open heartache

New York (AFP) - Serena Williams's coach raised the prospect of the world number one skipping the remainder of the season on Tuesday as she struggles to come to terms with her failure to clinch a calendar Grand Slam.

Patrick Mouratoglou told ESPN that Williams was intensely disappointed after missing out on a fifth consecutive Grand Slam crown and probably should wait until next year before returning to competition if she is not properly motivated to play.

"She was two matches away from something really big, so it was very painful," said Mouratoglou. "Any loss is very painful for her, but this one even more than usual. So it just takes time to recover from it, and when the motivation comes back, which I don't doubt it will, then it will be time to start tournaments again."

Williams, who has already clinched the year-end world number one ranking, is scheduled to play in next week's China Open and the WTA Finals at Singapore next month. She has not played since losing to Italy's Roberta Vinci in the US Open semi-finals earlier this month, one of the most shocking upsets in tennis history.

"After this year and the three Grand Slams, the question is how high her motivation is to play those tournaments. I don't think she should play if the motivation is not really high," Mouratoglou said in a posting on ESPN's website.

Williams was down after her defeat.

"Because she lost match, she says to me her season is not good," her coach said. "But I like that because it's just about having high expectations and that's what champions have and I think the same way."

Mouratoglou took blame for not having Williams better prepared to face Vinci.

"I don't think the strategy was wrong, but I think she was not in the right mindset that day for her tennis, which happens, but usually I find a way to make her be better on those days," he said. "And on this day, I did not."

Williams has won 21 career Grand Slam titles, one shy of Steffi Graf's Open Era record and three off the all-time record set by Australian Margaret Court.

"I don't doubt she will have the motivation to win more Grand Slams and reach records," Mouratoglou said. "I'm just thinking about the end of the season, and I don't know how high the motivation is, and I don't think she should go play competitions if her motivation is not high enough."

Mouratoglou does not see Serena running out of time just a few days after her 34th birthday.

"It's not time to doubt whether age will affect her," he said. "She has a lot of time left."

WUHAN, China — Venus Williams earned the 700th victory of her career Tuesday by beating German qualifier Julia Goerges 6-4, 6-3 in the second round of Wuhan Open.

Williams is a seven-time major champion who won her last Grand Slam title at Wimbledon in 2008.

{blackbabes} Kim Fields joins ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’

After much speculation, Bravo has confirmed "The Facts of Life" alum Kim Fields is joining the cast of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" for Season 8.

Premiering Nov. 8, the new season of "RHOA" will feature Fields in a permanent role, while newcomer Shamea Morton and former "Atlanta" housewife Shereè Whitfield will be featured in recurring roles.

Returning cast members are Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams, who was a "friend of the housewives" for Season 7, and now has been re-upped to the full-time cast.

The upcoming season will be the first without longtime housewife NeNe Leakes, who announced her departure from the franchise earlier this year.

Now a "friend of the housewives," Whitfield was part of the full-time cast from the inaugural season in 2008 through season four. Morton is a former Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Hawks cheerleader.

Though not listed in a recurring or permanent role, earlier this summer, Bravo filmed scenes with transgender model Amiyah Scott, who could appear in the show.

The first look at Fields in the hit reality series was revealed in the first Season 8 trailer released Monday.

"RHOA" premieres Nov. 8 at 8/7c, followed by the second season of "Untying the Knot" at 9/8c.

{blackbabes} Obama, Beyonce part of Global Citizen fest all-star lineup

NEW YORK (AP) — First lady Michelle Obama introduced a new campaign focusing on education for girls, Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai earned loud applause for her striking speech and Beyonce was energetic during her live performance at the 2015 Global Citizen Festival.

The multihour event held on the Great Lawn in New York's Central Park also featured Vice President Joe Biden, Hugh Jackman, Bono, Leonardo DiCaprio and Pearl Jam, who closed the event with a rocking performance.

Obama first appeared in a video promoting the 62 Million Girls campaign, but she later walked onstage after Beyonce introduced her following her performance.

"Let's give it up for the amazing Beyoncé," Obama said. "I am thrilled to be here tonight ... and honored to follow a woman who I admire and adore."

Obama said she has traveled the world and met with young women who have not had a chance to receive an education. She asked the audience to tweet photos of themselves with the hashtag #62MillionGirls and say what you learned in school. Obama said she learned how to "speak up" in school.

"Right now 62 million girls are not in school ... they deserve the same chances to get an education as my daughters and your daughters," she told the feverish audience, who cheered her on.

President Barack Obama also appeared in a video at the event, in its fourth year and aimed at ending poverty around the world. The festival is timed to coincide with the U.N. General Assembly meeting, and fans earned free tickets by taking actions to end poverty on globalcitizen.org.

Yousafzai, the 18-year-old Pakistani activist, was passionate as she spoke about fighting for the right for all children to receive an education.

"I want education to be the top priority because how can we end poverty ... when we deny the right to education," she said. "It's not that there is lack of money in this world ... we have billions and trillions of dollars, but where the money goes is military, it's things that are useless and that are not useful to society."

"It is a book and a pen that can change the life of a child — it's not a gun," Yousafzai added. "It was a gun that hit me on the left side of my forehead, it was a gun that hit my two friends, but it wasn't a pen. But it was a pen (that) really helped us go forward in our lives."

The event, which aired on MSNBC, was hosted by Stephen Colbert, Kerry Washington, Salma Hayek Pinault, Olivia Wilde and other top celebrities. Usher, Jason Sudeikis, Laverne Cox, Katie Holmes, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Bill and Melinda Gates also attended the event, along with multiple world leaders, including U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

Backstage was just as star-studded: Everyone from Daniel Craig to Jay Z — holding daughter Blue Ivy — was there.

The event featured a number of unique musical collaborations: Beyonce joined Eddie Vedder onstage; Sting performed with rapper Common; and Ariana Grande sang with Coldplay.

Sheeran even joined Beyonce for a guitar-based version of her thumping R&B hit "Drunk In Love," which earned roaring applause.

Beyonce, who changed three times during her set, performed hits from "Crazy In Love" to "Halo" to "Single Ladies."

"I want y'all to feel the connection right now ... I want y'all to get lost and dance like children," she told the crowd.

The America's Next Top Model star is parting ways with her Spanish colonial-style Beverly Hills mansion, asking a healthy $7.75 million for the posh pad. And considering the historic home's impressive credentials—6,000 square-feet, impressive hand-crafted architectural details, a gigantic master closet worthy of a Tyra-level supermodel, plus some celebrity significance—the home is practically a steal.

"I loved living in this house. The Stunning Spanish architecture spoke to me the minute I walked in the door. And then, when I discovered that the movie star, and companion to William Randolph Hearst, Marion Davies, was a previous owner, I was ecstatic. Why? Because she was financially savvy," Tyra told Sothebys. "As a businesswoman myself, starting my own self-funded cosmetics company, I was impressed."

And while the 41-year-old will undoubtedly miss the 1926-built mansion, she's not exactly moving across the country here—she'll be just a short drive away from her old Beverly Hills neighborhood in her new Malibu location.

"I did not expect to move, and was not looking for another home until I discovered a property in the Malibu Hills through a friend," Tyra said. "The decision to move was a difficult one after living in such a perfect neighborhood, in this home, with summer evenings in the outdoor living-room, and breezy afternoons with friends lounging by the pool, where we waxed poetic about how we imagined Davies and Hearst wined and dined in the many rooms we spent so many memorable moments in."

But before we say goodbye to Tyra's stunning home, there's one side note that must be mentioned: Did any other eagle eyes notice that every TV in the model's home was playing The Wizard of Oz? We got that she liked Davies, but who knew she was a Dorothy fanatic as well!

{blackbabes} Kerry Washington Praises Viola Davis' Historic Emmys Win, Gets Real About Domestic Violence and Financial Abuse

Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington is a very busy woman.

Ahead of Scandal's season premiere Thursday, she appeared on Good Morning America and Live! With Kelly and Michael. After a full day of press, E! News caught up with her at an event in New York City in support of the Allstate Foundation's Purple Purse campaign, bringing awareness to domestic violence and financial abuse. Washington co-hosted with Dee Ocleppo, Tommy Hilfiger and Saks Fifth Avenue.

After rushing off the red carpet to see Pope Francis make his way down Fifth Avenue, Washington returned to the purple carpet to shed light on the cause.

"When the Allstate Purple Purse Foundation first came to me about this opportunity, I had never hear the words 'financial abuse' before. I didn't really know that it was a thing, a specific thing, but it makes so much sense that this is kind of the silent weapon that keeps women trapped. It's the No. 1 reason women don't leave abusive relationships and the No. 1 reason women go back, because they feel like they can't take care of themselves financially," said Washington, who designed her first Purple Purse in 2014. "To be able to be part of a solution that has a real, tangible impact that gives women the tools that they specifically need to be able to walk away and end this cycle of violence, it's really gratifying."

Another gratifying moment came Sunday when Viola Davis became the first black woman to receive the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series award at the Primetime Emmys. It was a victory not only for Davis, but for all black actresses—and Washington and Empire's Taraji P. Henson couldn't be prouder.

In 2012, after Scandal took off, Washington told Oprah Winfrey, "We buy into this idea of competition. It is out there, but it comes from a myth that there is a lack. It comes from a belief that if I succeed, someone else can't, as opposed to if I succeed, I create the opportunity for more people to succeed."

Seeing Davis win only validated what Washington said three years ago. "Look at the proof of that! It's such proof of that idea that it's not about competition. For Viola to win, and for Taraji and I to be sitting in the front row and for her to call out our names along with all of the other women who are doing this work right now, that is absolute proof that you don't need to believe that there are limited pieces of the pie," Washington told E! News. "The more pie we make, the more we all get to eat!"

Washington later appeared onstage to unveil the Purple Purse, sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue. A portion of the proceeds from every sale will benefit the Allstate Foundation Purple Purse nonprofits. "Fashion seems kind of simple, seems strange maybe, seems disconnected from the issue," she said. "But I want to explain why it's so important to me that we're having this conversation through fashion."

"I did not grow up being a girl who really knew a whole lot about fashion. My mom really instilled in me the idea that it was very important to cultivate who I was on the inside as opposed to who I was on the outside—she's a college professor. I really learned about fashion very late in life," she said. "I learned about fashion because I started to work as an actress and I started having to show up on red carpets. I started to have to think about marketing myself on the red carpet. I started to have to think about what I was going to wear, because people were going to ask me, 'What are you wearing?' So I began a rapid education in fashion. I think because I came to it late in life, I studied it with the fervor that I study things that I commit to in life. I learned who all the designers were, I learned the history of the houses, I learned what clothes looked good on me, what things I wanted to one day be able to wear. I really drenched myself in learning about fashion. It has become, as many of you know, a very big part of my life, a very big part of my job, but also something that I really enjoy, something that I'm really passionate about.

"I went to the Emmy Awards last weekend and I had the honor of wearing this really incredible dress," she said of her Marc Jacobs design. "I was very lucky. It was right of the runway. I felt very special in it. I was really happy to be in it. When I get dressed for an event, my goal is to wear something that I feel good in, because I feel like if I wear something that is with the goal of trying to impress people or make people like me or make people like it, I'm going to go home upset, because no matter what you wear, no matter what you do, you can't please everybody all of the time. So, I always wear something that feels good on me. This particular night, a lot of people agreed with me. A lot of people liked this dress that I was wearing and it made me, to be completely honest...it made me uncomfortable."

"We have turned fashion into a competition where we've decided that some people are better than other people, which for me, takes some of the sense of art out of it and turns something creative into a race. So, I was really grateful that people agreed with me, but it also made me nervous because I don't want to be seduced by that ever," Washington said. "I want to make sure that in my life I always wear things that I feel great about because I feel great about them."

"When the Allstate Foundation called me about the opportunity to design Purple Purse, I was really excited because this was an opportunity to work in fashion in a way that wasn't about making people feel uncool if they can't afford something, or making people feel like they had to measure up," she said. "It was a way of living in fashion that was about making women understand their power. This purse is not about being an 'it bag.' It's not about being cool and beautiful—it happens to be super cool and beautiful—but the bag is about empowering women."

"A purse is the symbol of a woman's financial well-being. A purse is a symbol of where a woman keeps the things that matter to her. And purple is the color for domestic violence awareness. This purse is a tool to unlock the conversation," the Golden Globe-nominated actress said inside The Oak Room. "It's hard to talk about a broken wrist. It's hard to talk about a black eye. It's hard to talk about having your credit destroyed. It's really fun to talk about fashion...When you make it about a purse, some of the stigma dissolves and the fear evaporates and people open up their hearts—and hopefully their wallets—and become part of the solution."

{blackbabes} Zoë Saldana on Life with Twins: ‘We Have a Tribe’ We Turn to for Help

Forget squad goals — Zoë Saldana's about to give fellow busy moms some "tribe" goals.

The actress told PEOPLE at the launch party for Verizon's Go90 entertainment platform in Beverly Hills on Thursday that she relies on family and friends when it comes to juggling her work life and her family life with 10-month-old twins Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio.

"We have a tribe," she says, laughing. "Whenever we're overwhelmed — and when you have twins, you get overwhelmed quite easily and really quickly — you just send out an SOS, man, and they will cancel. They will find a nanny for their kids. They'll bring the kids, and then we end up kind of relaxing."

The Star Trek Beyond actress, 37, says she and husband Marco Perego-Saldana have learned to "lean on" her loved ones.

"The moment anybody goes, 'I'll take care of them' — take them up on it," she tells PEOPLE.

The star says she didn't realize how "fun" being a mom is until becoming one — two times over!

"I was surrounded by way too many moms who are always like, 'Oh my God, I got it so hard,' " she explains. "And my sister was always like, 'It's a piece of cake. It's super awesome.' So I stuck to her, and it's been fun. I feel bad for those women that get super desperate and want to bounce back three months after having a baby. And it's more like, 'Breastfeed. Stay home. Sleep. Your kid is only 3 months old! What are you going to the gym for? Catch up on f—ing reruns of some sort. I definitely took a break."

The actress, who just finished filming Star Trek in Vancouver, shared a sweet photo with both Cy and Bowie (in matching onesies!) before heading out on Thursday night.

"Hard to leave even for a little bit, but Mamá has to go to work," she wrote.

{blackbabes} Leland Orser Assigned To ‘Berlin Station’; Renee Elise Goldsberry Joins TV Land Pilot ‘I Shudder’

Leland Orser has joined the cast of Epix's first original drama series Berlin Station. The 10-episode contemporary spy series from Paramount TV and Anonymous Content, follows Daniel Meyer (Richard Armitage), a newly anointed case officer who has arrived at the CIA foreign station in Berlin to uncover the source of a leak who has supplied information to a whistleblower. Guided by jaded veteran Case Officer Hector DeJean (Rhys Ifans) — a darkly charming, tenacious agent who works for Chief Steven Frost (Richard Jenkins) — Daniel learns to contend with the rough-and-tumble world of the field agent: agent-running, deception, the dangers and moral compromises. Orser will play Robert Kovac, the CIA Section Head. The actor plays Father Romero on Showtime's Ray Donovan, and other TV credits include Magic City, Revolution, Touch and ER. Orser also appeared in Faults and the past two Taken movies. He is repped by Gersh and the Burstein Company.

Hamilton star Renee Elise Goldsberry has booked a series regular role in TV Land's dark comedy pilot I Shudder. Written by Paul Rudnick, it centers on Elyot Vionnet (Hamish Linklater), an advocate of manners, style and, most important, common decency. Observing people committing heinous crimes of etiquette, he tries to counsel them from afar, inserting himself into their lives most unwelcomely. When the individuals he deems classless choose not to take his advice, they are met with terrible consequences. Goldsberry, repped by Innovative Artists and Sweet 180, plays Lucy Wainscott, a lovely, high-spirited, down-to-earth woman. Although she was born rich, she lives a happier and more fulfilled life by driving an ambulance and helping anyone in need. Goldsberry next appears in the feature Sisters. She also has recurred on The Following and Law & Order: SVU.
