{blackbabes} Farewell shimmy

Wal-Mart.com USA, LLC

After Rihanna sipped D'Usse shots with Jay-Z at the opening of his 40/40 club at the Barclays Center, the singer headed back to Manhattan to wish former "106 & Park" co-host Rocsi Diaz bon voyage. Diaz held her goodbye-to-New York party at Greenhouse in SoHo on Thursday night, as the former VJ moves to LA to pursue acting. As a parting gift, two burly men dressed as cops brought out a cake and presented it to her. Then they took off their shirts and shimmied for guests, including Tika Sumpter, Dwight Freeney and Adam Rodriguez. Diaz and her co-host, Terrence J, who just accepted a job as co-anchor of E! News, were both given a send-off on the BET show Friday night.

{blackbabes} Nicole Richie, Unplugged! Stars Share Their Eco-Friendly Habits

Wal-Mart.com USA, LLC

The 2012 Environment Media Awards are just one day away, so to celebrate we've got tons of stars dishing about going green!

"I would say that we are a pretty green family," Nicole Richie told us of her and hubby Joel Madden's household. "I recycle; we unplug everything in the house when we go to sleep. [We're] definitely conscious."

"We live here," Richie added. "There's no other place to go. It's important that we care [of] where we are."

Like Richie, Modern Family starlet Arielle Winter is wired about going green around the house. "I turn off the lights every time I leave a room," she said. "I'm always unplugging toasters, I unplug all hot tools, I unplug everything."

Winter's Modern Family costar Ty Burrell and wife Holly go eco-friendly outdoors. "We try to conserve water," he said. "We changed all of our sprinklers. I live in Utah most of the time, and we re-landscaped and did all that stuff to try to save water."

New Girl starlet Zooey Deschanel also has a green thumb for going green. "I grow my own vegetables," she dished. "My own personal market."

"Well, if you don't recycle then you're just an idiot," Cougar Town star Busy Philipps joked.

"I use reusable bags always," Philipps said. "We try and stay away from plastic as much as possible in our house. And for my daughter's lunches we don't use Ziploc bags, we don't do sandwich bags; we do glass Tupperware and I have these cloth snack packs that we use."

"In Australia we like to keep the environment nice so we can enjoy it," Rebel Wilson, who's a big recycler, tells us. "You have to be like, 'Is that recycling? Is that pizza box recycling? Is that cake box recycling?' These are questions that haunt me."

"I think being green should be important to all of us," For a Good Time, Call... funnylady Ari Graynor told us. "Although I'd feel like a phony if I said I were out hitting the streets, trying to spread the word about that. But I do what I can in little ways—unplug things when I'm out of town, recycle, use the same water bottle over and over again. Little things help."

{blackbabes} Leonardo DiCaprio's Costar on Kissing Him: "It Was Perfect!"

Wal-Mart.com USA, LLC
Leonardo DiCaprio, Nichole Galicia

Not that we doubted Leonardo DiCaprio was anything but a fine kisser, but it's nice to get some confirmation from someone who's actually smooched the megastar.

Nichole Galicia plays his love interest in director Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Django Unchained.

"It was everything you would imagine it to be," she told us at last night's Express and Vogue event at the Chateau Marmont hotel. "It was perfect."

DiCaprio was also the perfect gentleman.

"He was more than nice," Galicia said. "He was generous, he was humble and he was funny."

Fortunately, they hit it off while filming because Galicia never actually had to audition with him.

"I read with Quentin and the casting director," she said. "Quentin basically looked at me and said, 'Do everything.' So I did. I had to sit on someone's lap. Say a bunch of lines and kiss someone. I got up and I laid a kiss on the casting director. I don't know if she was expecting it."

She?

"Yes, she!" Galicia said. "But in my brain she was a he."

Aka, Leonardo DiCaprio!

BEIJING -- China Open organizers say top-ranked Serena Wiliams has withdrawn from the tournament with illness.

The tournament's official Chinese-language microblog posted a message late Thursday saying: "This is regrettable news and we hope Serena Williams will get well soon."

Her place in the tournament, which starts on Saturday in Beijing, will be Switzerland's Romina Oprandi.

Williams' own Twitter account carried a short message saying "Flu no fun," but made no mention of the China Open. Williams also missed last year's tournament with an injury.

{blackbabes} 'Scandal' Season 2: Kerry Washington teases Quinn revelations and Olivia's state of mind

US iTunes, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store US iTunes, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store
kerry-washington-scandal-s2.jpgKerry Washington is not going to give anything up about Season 2 of "Scandal." In fact, the first sentence of her first answer in an interview with Zap2it is "Well, I obviously can't tell you too much about that."

And that's fine -- the show returns Thursday night (Sept. 27) and sets about answering the "Who is Quinn Perkins?" question it posed at the end of last season, so no need to jump the gun.

Washington is able to talk about her own feelings on finding out the answer, where the season will take her character, Olivia Pope's, relationship with President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) and how Olivia adjusts to her colleague Stephen Finch (Henry Ian Cusick, who has left the show). Here's what she had to say.

Zap2it: How does Olivia's relationship with Fitz play out over the early part of this season?
Kerry Washington: Well, I obviously can't tell you too much about that. I'll say Olivia's really trying to do her best to live up to her commitment of handing in her [White House] badge at the end of Season 1. That for sure is where we meet her at the beginning of the season. But there's obviously a strong pull there.

Because last season was relatively short, you could tell one big story over seven episodes in addition to the case-of-the-week plots. Does that continue this season?
It's sort of a better question for the writers, but how I've heard [creator Shonda Rhimes] describe it is that even, God willing, with a back nine [episodes], it will still be these kind of contained, big storylines with a scandal of the week. The intensity of the world we live in, it doesn't really work well for sustained stories over a long period of time. ... That's kind of the way the world of crisis works. This show is inspired by Judy Smith, who's a real crisis manager, and some of her crises last for a year, some of them last for a week -- they each have a different shape. It's important to try to honor that and not just let everything last over the course of 22 episodes.

What was your reaction when you got to read who Quinn (Katie Lowes) really is?
It was so funny, because we didn't get any information all summer long. People would be walking up to me all summer, like "Who is Quinn?" And I'd be like, "I don't know" [laughs]. So when the script finally came in, we were like drug addicts, all of us. We were all in different places when we got it and immediately texted each other and immediately dropped everything. I was at an airport baggage claim and had my phone plugged into the wall and was reading the script on my iPhone while somebody else was waiting for our bags [laughs]. I was like, I have to know!

What really excited me about this season was the question was answered. The big, "Who's Quinn?" question was answered, but at the same time, we walk away with three more questions. And I love that. I feel like that is awesome. The question is answered in a way that feels really satisfying, but at the same time you're like, "But wait. Now I need to know a lot of other things." I felt that way as an actor -- I was like, what does this mean? What are we talking about here?

How does Stephen being gone affect Olivia and the rest of the office?
She just compartmentalizes all of her relationships -- people know her in different ways. But Stephen was kind of the person who knew the most about her personal life. With him gone, it's a challenge for Olivia and it's a challenge for the office, because they're missing kind of their ambassador, their link [to her].

Is there competition among the others to be that person for her?
One thing I think is really interesting is -- I said to Shonda, "Who's going to move into Stephen's office?" And she said no one. I was like, "What do you mean?" So right now, it's interesting -- Stephen's office is just kind of open and empty. I think it's a really great metaphor, and I think that may change, but for now it stands there open as if there's a space missing. So the politics of the office get more and more complicated for sure.

"Scandal" premieres at 10 p.m. ET Thursday on ABC. You can go to WhoIsQuinnPerkins.com to get ready for the show's return.
