{blackbabes} NCIS: New Orleans' Shalita Grant to Exit

NCIS: New Orleans Shalita Grant Sonja Percy

A key cast member is leaving the Big Easy: Shalita Grant will exit CBS' NCIS: New Orleans later this season, our sister site Variety is reporting.

Grant, who plays former ATF agent and current NCIS Special Agent Sonja Percy, has been a series regular on the NCIS spinoff for the past three seasons, after recurring on the show in Season 1. Her last episode on NCIS: NOLA is the 17th episode of Season 4, slated to air on April 3.

The departure is "amicable and mutually agreed upon" by Grant and the show, according to Variety's sources. "It's just time for a change," Grant's manager Didi Rea said in a statement. "This is about moving on to the next great thing." Grant's other recent TV roles include Mercy Street, The Good Wife and Bones.

Zoey McLellan, who played Meredith Brody in NOLA's first two seasons, left the show "for creative reasons," ahead of Season 3. To fill the void, Vanessa Ferlito joined the cast as a series regular, playing FBI prodigy Tammy Gregorio.

NCIS: New Orleans currently airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on CBS.

{blackbabes} Tia Mowry-Hardict Says Sister, Sister Reboot Isn’t Official Yet, But ‘Everybody’s on Board’

Tia Mowry-Hardict has some good news for Sister, Sister fans.

Responding to costar Jackée Harry's recent comments that a reboot of the popular 90s sitcom is "happening," the 39-year-old actress told PEOPLE at the Life Hack Academy Live event, presented by Ford, in New York City on Thursday that while "we haven't gotten an official go yet," a reboot is most definitely in the works.

"Everything is put into place. We just need a home," Mowry-Hardict — who's currently pregnant with her and husband Cory Hardrict's second child — a daughter — explained.

"We have a writer. We have an idea. Everybody's on board. All the puzzles and pieces are in place," she added.

Mowry-Hardict also revealed how fans can help speed the process up.

"If Sister, Sister fans really want this show, start writing to all of the networks," she said, adding,"People are so invested, and we do not want to let our fans down."

"We're like little elves in there working our butts off to try to get this show running. And if you know me or my sister, we never give up, so it's gonna happen. It's just 'when,' " the actress continued.

Rumors that a Sister, Sister reunion would be coming back to television kicked into overdrive after Harry appeared on Steve Harvey's talk show last week and claimed a reboot was in the works.

However despite Harry's comments, PEOPLE later confirmed the series is not on the slate for ABC, Sister, Sister's original network.

Harry, 61, starred on the show, which aired from 1994–99, as Lisa Landry. Sister, Sister chronicled the lives of identical twins Tia Landry (Mowry-Hardrict) and Tamera Campbell (Tamera Mowry-Housley), who were separated at birth but, after meeting at the mall, move in together with their respective single adoptive mother and single adoptive father.

A day after Harry's remarks, Mowry-Hardict told fans that as much as she hated to say it, she had "no NEW news to report" about the reboot.

"Hey guys! Been seeing loads of tweets about the Sister, Sister, reunion. I hate to say it, but I have no NEW news to report to you. Sis and I have been trying to get this going as we still are, BUUUT no NEW news. Trust, you will hear it from us first if it's a solid go:)" she wrote.

In July, Mowry-Housely told PEOPLE that the real-life twin sisters' beloved '90s sitcom was getting closer to returning to air.

"We're meeting with writers and producers because we wanna make sure it's all a great fit, but we are progressively moving forward to make this happen," Mowry-Housley said at the time.

"We want to make sure that it is great TV and that it's gonna be fun," she explained. "We appreciate all of our fans' eagerness because we are just as eager as you guys are."

Back in 2015, Mowry-Hardict first teased a potential reboot, telling Meredith Vieira, "It's just all about timing … so we'll see. The fans, they really want it, so we'll give it to them, probably."

{blackbabes} Rosario Dawson reveals she was raped as a child

Vocal #MeToo and Time's Up supporter Rosario Dawson revealed in a new interview that she was sexually abused.

"I was raped and molested as a child, so for me, the world was like that since I was a child," the "Defenders" actress, 38, said on the "Morado Lens" podcast. "So when I saw it in the workplace, it wasn't foreign to me. It was like, well, that even happens within family. It happens with people that are supposed to take care of you when you're a child."

She opened up about the movements that have launched since the Harvey Weinstein exposés and praised the women coming forward and effecting change.

"Now we're in a place where it's finally like, 'No, we don't have to keep passing this on. This is archaic and terrible and destructive. Let's look at it,'" Dawson continued. "It's beautiful. I'm so ready for this moment."

Dawson was one of many stars who wore black to the 2018 Golden Globes. She also urged people to wear black that Sunday even if they weren't attending the awards show.

"We wear black to symbolize solidarity," she said in an Instagram video prior to the show. "The death knell has struck on abusive power, and it's time to celebrate each other — not just the nominees on our film and television screens but our storytellers who have bravely come forward and courageously shared their stories which have liberated so many of us."

The Costume Designers Guild said today that it will present its 2018 Spotlight Award to Kerry Washington. The Scandal star will be honored during the 20th annual CDG Awards on February 20 at the Beverly Hilton.

The guild said the award is presented to an actor whose talent and career personify an enduring commitment to excellence, including a special awareness of the role and importance of costume design.

"In my seven seasons of playing Olivia Pope on Scandal, I have had the blessing of working with the remarkable Lyn Paolo to create a character whose internal strength and strong sense of conviction are so effortlessly reflected in the clothing that she wears," Washington told CDGA sponsor Harper's Bazaar. "Being honored by the CDGA this year with the Spotlight Award is a fitting culmination for our time together, and I look forward to celebrating our collaboration on this special night."

Said Paolo: "Kerry embodies style and elegance, and is a true fashionista. Her appreciation for design, as well as her creative spirit, have made working with her over these seven seasons an absolute joy. She has been an integral partner in evolving her character through the art of costume, and her love of costume as a storytelling device is more than evident in her body of work."

Gina Rodriguez will host next month's CDGAs, which also will fete Joanna Johnston, (Career Achievement Award),  Guillermo del Toro (Distinguished Collaborator Award) and Maggie Schpak (Distinguished Service Award). The Costume Designer Guild nominees were announced two weeks ago.

{blackbabes} Kylie Bunbury's Get Christie Love Reboot Scores Pilot Order at ABC

Get Christie Love Reboot ABC Kylie Bunbury

ABC's Get Christie Love reboot is getting closer to showing up on your TV screen.

The network has officially ordered a pilot for the one-hour drama, TVLine has learned, which is based on the 1970s cop show of the same name. As we reported last month, Pitch alum Kylie Bunbury will star in the reboot as the title character: an African-American CIA agent in charge of an elite special-ops unit. (The original Christie Love was an undercover cop.) "She transforms into whomever she needs to be to get the job done," per the official network description, "especially when it's down to the wire and the stakes are life and death."

Power creator Courtney A. Kemp will pen the pilot and serve as showrunner; action star Vin Diesel will also serve as an executive producer on the project. It's described as an "action-packed, music-driven drama" that's "anchored by an emotional mystery about Christie's first love."

The original Get Christie Love, airing from 1974 to 1975 on ABC, starred Teresa Graves, making it the first network TV drama ever to star an African-American female in the lead role. (Remarkably, it remained the only such show until Scandal, starring Kerry Washington, debuted in 2012.) Love had a memorable catchphrase — "You're under arrest, sugah!" — that was later referenced in Reservoir Dogs and Austin Powers: Goldmember.

{blackbabes} Serena Williams returning to competition for US Fed Cup team

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) -- The U.S. Tennis Association says Serena Williams will return to competition for the first time in more than a year at the country's Fed Cup matches against the Netherlands next month.

Williams has not played an official match since winning the Australian Open in January 2017 for her 23rd Grand Slam singles title. She was pregnant during that tournament and gave birth to a daughter on Sept. 1.

Joining Williams on U.S. captain Kathy Rinaldi's roster announced Tuesday is older sister Venus, a seven-time major champion. The siblings have not played on the Fed Cup team together in three years.

Also on the team: CoCo Vandeweghe, a semifinalist at the Australian Open and U.S. Open last year. A fourth member of the U.S. squad will be announced next week.

The U.S. won last year's Fed Cup.

The matches against the Netherlands will be held on an indoor hard court in Ashville, North Carolina, on Feb. 10-11.

{blackbabes} Oscars’ Biggest Snubs: Franco, Hanks, Spielberg & Martin McDonagh Shut Out

There was a 7.9 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Alaska this morning, but for many in Hollywood the real rumble was the nominations for the 90th Academy Awards. The roughly 6,000 AMPAS voters took some like Gary Oldman, Jordan Peele and Allison Janney to higher ground. However, for the overlooked Tom Hanks, James Franco and Michelle Williams, it must have felt like the Earth opened up underneath them or that Tiffany Haddish and Andy Serkis read the wrong names like Warren Beatty and Faye Runaway did for the Best Picture on Tinseltown's big night last year.

Sadly for some, there was no envelope mixup this morning.

Some might not like the term "snubbed," but for those left out in Oscar cold today, that might be the most polite word that comes to mind. Take a look at our list of the most significant people and projects that didn't get AMPAS love and tell us who you think we overlooked.

The Oscars are on March 4 on ABC with Jimmy Kimmel back as host for a third time.

Tom Hanks – The Post got a Best Picture nomination and Meryl Streep picked up her 21st Oscar nomination this morning, but leaving the multiple Oscar winner off the Best Actor list for his performance as Ben Bradlee was positively Nixonian.

Michelle Williams – All the talent in the world couldn't deliver an expected nomination for this four-time past nominee today. That's a kidnapping for a timely performance that was at the true center of the Ridley Scott-directed All the Money in the World.

James Franco – He won a Golden Globe for his The Disaster Artist role and got a SAG Award nomination but, under a cloud of harassment allegations, the 2011 Best Actor nominee had a disastrous morning today.

Netflix – Despite very strong offerings like Mudbound, which saw a Supporting Actress nomination for Mary J. Blige, and its biggest Oscars ever with eight nominations, the streaming service was once again not plugged in enough with AMPAS voters to be a player in the marquee categories. Sexual harassment allegations surrounding two-time Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman crushed any momentum The Meyerowitz Stories could have had as a contender. Having said that, and seeing Dee Rees being denied a deserved Best Director nom, congratulations to Mudbound's Rachel Morrison for shattering one more glass ceiling this morning as the first woman to receive a Best Cinematography nomination.

#OscarsSoWhite – After being bleached out for far too long, this morning's nominations for Jordan Peele as Best Director, Octavia Spencer and Blige as Best Supporting Actress, Denzel Washington, and Daniel Kaluuya as Best Actor and Get Out as Best Picture showed an AMPAS that was much more inclusive and rewarding to great work this year.

Steven Spielberg – A nomination for The Post did not land on this icon's doorstep today.

Gal Gadot – Not such a wonderful morning for Wonder Woman. Was it the shambles of Justice League that took the shine off one of the most iconic performances of last year?

Martin McDonagh Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri received a Best Picture nomination, just as did Frances McDormand for Best Actress plus Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell for Supporting Actors. However, even with an Original Screenplay nomination, the man behind camera shockingly was overlooked for Best Director.

Michael Stuhlbarg – Yes, he isn't onscreen that much, but the actor — who is also in The Shape of Water and The Post — gave a speech in Call Me by Your Name that made him the parent everyone wished they have or had. It wasn't enough to garner Oscar love.

Tiffany Haddish – Yes, she was one of the presenters of the nominations today, but the breakout of box office hit Girls Trip was also a Critics' Choice nominee and the subject of more awards season spotlight. This morning, The Carmichael Show was left holding the envelope.

Christian Bale – The Academy obviously was feeling something close to hostile to the star of the Scott Cooper film Hostiles.

Paramount – Nothing for the Viacom-owed studio. Zero is not the number the Redstones want on that Oscars bottom line.

Holly Hunter – Coming off a roaring debut at Sundance 2017, The Big Sick scored a well-deserved Original Screenplay nomination for Emily V. Gordon and Kumail Nanjiani. But the 1993 Academy Award winner's role as a very blunt and very protective mother was the super glue that held so much of the movie together – and deserved to be stuck with much better than what she got today.

{blackbabes} Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell make surprise runway appearance

https://thenypost.files.wordpress.com/2018/01/180118-kate-moss-louis-vuitton.jpg?quality=90&strip=all&w=915

It might be men's fashion week in Paris, but women just won the runways.

Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, the most super of supermodel duos, made a surprise appearance on Louis Vuitton's catwalk on Thursday. Both women wore logo-printed trenches styled with matching hiking boots — yet another point to monogram mania, which has recently resurged in the fashion world.

Until Thursday, Moss hadn't walked the runway since Louis Vuitton's fall 2013 women's show, back when Marc Jacobs was creative director. (That time, she wore a sheer gown, catapulting her ahead of the now-ubiquitous naked dress trend).

Meanwhile, Campbell is continuing a haute streak on the runways: She closed Off-White's Spring 2018 show in Paris in October, and appeared in the runway reunion heard 'round the world at Versace's Spring 2018 show in September.

The pair took a finale bow with menswear designer Kim Jones, who on Wednesday announced his departure from Louis Vuitton.

With women's fashion month just a few weeks away, it's hard to imagine a moment more super than this.

{blackbabes} ‘Bad Boys’ TV Offshoot Starring Gabrielle Union Gets NBC Pilot Order

NBC communes to  plow ahead with drama pilots orders while the other nets are still mulling their choices. The peacock network has given a formal pilot green light to an untitled Bad Boys spinoff TV series starring Gabrielle Union. The project, from Sony Pictures TV, Bad Boys movies' producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Doug Belgrad, Primary Wave Entertainment and Sony Pictures TV, had a pilot production commitment.

The untitled project centers on the Special Agent Syd Burnett character played by Union in 2003's Bad Boys II. Last seen in Miami taking down a drug cartel, she is making a cross-country move from Miami to Los Angeles.

In the untitled drama, written by The Blacklist writers-producers Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier, the free-spirited former DEA agent Burnett has a fresh start in her new job as an LAPD detective. She's partnered with Nancy McKenna, a working mom who can't help but look at Syd's freedom with some grass-is-greener envy. These two have totally different lifestyles and approaches, but they both are at the top of their fields in this action-packed, character-driven procedural.

In the Bad Boys universe, Burnett is the sister of Detective Lieutenant Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) and was romantically involved with Marcus' partner, Detective Lieutenant Mike Lowrey (Will Smith).

The Gabrielle Union project hails from Bruckheimer's Jerry Bruckheimer TV, Belgrad's 2.0 Entertainment, Primary Wave and Sony  TV, whose movie sibling is behind the Bad Boys feature franchise.

Margolis and Sonnier executive produce with Union, Belgrad, Jerry Bruckheimer TV's Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and KristieAnne Reed, as well as Primary Wave's Jeff Gaspin, in his return to NBC, which he once ran, and Jeff Morrone.

Union most recently starred in BET's popular series Being Mary Jane which will end next year with a two-hour series finale movie.

Belgrad worked on Bad Boys during his 25-year career as a Sony movie executive. He was the creative executive on the 1995 original movie, which established Lawrence and Smith as feature stars. As he segued into producing with the launch of 2.0 Entertainment last fall, one of the Sony features he set out to co-finance was the long-gestating Bad Boys 3.

Because it is based on existing Bruckheimer IP, the Bad Boys spinoff does not fall under Jerry Bruckheimer TV's overall deal at CBS TV Studios.

This marks the fourth NBC drama pilot order, joining The Village, In Between Lives and untitled Bellevue.

{blackbabes} Anika Noni Rose reveals she was sexually assaulted on a plane

Actress and singer Anika Noni Rose has revealed she was sexually assaulted on a plane flight last year.

In an interview on SiriusXM's Make It Plain on Thursday, the Dreamgirls star revealed she has never spoken publicly about the alleged assault and has been trying to find out the name of the person who committed the act.

"I don't know this person," she told host Mark Thompson. "He didn't introduce himself. There was no, 'Hi, how are you doing?' And I was asleep before the plane even took off; I'm one of those sleepers…"

Rose claims the alleged assault woke her up and she immediately reported the incident to the crew, who offered to turn the plane around and call in airport police detectives to find the man.

"I was offered that option in the beginning, and I said no, because it seemed like the person was then going to go to sleep…," she added. "I told the steward and stewardess, 'I just want you to keep an eye on this person. I just want you to know that this is happening'."

But she changed her mind: "I was like, 'I don't know what to do with myself. Yes, please turn the plane around'," she continued. "I was shaking. I was so upset and so hurt and angry… I wanted to punch that man."

The actress has since been trying to get justice for the alleged assault ever since, but she has hit a lot of dead ends.

"I made a report right then with the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) and they dropped it," she continued. "They dropped the case. I can honestly say that I have not done much with it. I made my report. I followed up with the police, like I was told to do. The police did nothing."

Anika, who has chosen not to reveal the exact details about the alleged assault while she is pursuing her legal options, is dismayed about how the situation has so far unfolded, but she has vowed to continue fighting.

"The amount of care that is taken to protect perpetrators is vastly heavier and stronger than the amount of care that is taken to protect victims" she said. "(But) I'm not finished."
