{blackbabes} Tamera Mowry-Housley Jokes ‘Watch What You Pray For’ After Giving Birth to 10-Lb. Baby

Tamera Mowry-Housley never thought her wishes for a "chunky, plushy baby" would result in newborn daughter Ariah Talea weighing over 10 lbs. at birth.

"You have to watch what you pray for!" Mowry-Housley, 37, jokes to PEOPLE. "Ariah's a big girl, but I love the fatness. I love to show off her rolls and I dress her in rompers for summer. She has the chubbiest legs!"

Described by the former Sister Sister star as "sweet, precious and scrumptious," 6-week-old Ariah is dressed almost exclusively in pink clothing and tutus by her mama.

"I can't stop kissing her! And dressing her is so much fun," Mowry-Housley says. "With boys, you have to be more creative clothes-wise. There's just so much more to choose from when you have a girl."

Ariah's older brother Aden, 2, was ecstatic when he met his sister — though he has become suspicious of the new addition to the family as of late.

"The first three weeks were great, but now he realizes she's not going anywhere and he's jealous," the mom of two says. "As a mother, I am incorporating him as much as I can when I'm with her. I ask him to help with the diaper, the pacifier, to cuddle when I'm nursing. That makes him feel better."

A big advocate for breastfeeding after her son's birth in 2012, The Real co-host says this time around it's even more vital in developing a bond with her daughter.

"It's important more than ever now; women and moms are making a stand, making a point to breastfeed and there's nothing wrong with it," Mowry-Housley says. "Ariah's a great nurser. It's the perfect time to connect and at the same time, you know you are giving your child the best and it makes you feel great."

She adds, "It's perfect for when you travel, you don't have to carry formula around!"

Ariah recently gave her mother a smile for the first time, and the actress says it "melted [her] heart."

"Those first four weeks, it's like Groundhog Day — changing diapers and they lay there like a big blob. The moment you get that smile back though, it's just all worth it," she says. "It makes me feel good as a mom, it's been so great."

Mowry-Housley and her husband, Fox News senior correspondent Adam Housley, took the kids on their first family trip Friday to Carver, Massachusetts, where Aden and his parents attended the grand opening of Thomas Land, a family amusement park featuring rides and attractions based on the popular children's television series Thomas and Friends.

"Aden is obsessed with trains, so this was a no-brainer," Mowry-Housley says. "It's cool to come out as a family because we are family people. We run four deep now; when you have four, there's no doubt about it, you are a family."
