Mekia Cox (Crazy, Stupid, Love) has been cast opposite Juliette Lewis and Michael Ealy in Season 2 of ABC's anthology crime drama series Secrets & Lies. Written by Barbie Kligman and directed by Adam Arkin, the second season will feature an all-new crime featuring Eric Warner (Ealy), a newly married heir apparent who is under suspicion when his wife is murdered. Cox, repped by Global Artists Agency and A Management, will play Amanda Warner, Eric's sister, and wife of a prominent Charlotte surgeon, who works as a criminal attorney for the Public Defender's office. She idolizes her older brother Eric and is fiercely protective of him, immediately coming to his aid when he is targeted by Detective Cornell as the prime suspect in the murder of his wife. Cox's other TV credits include Grey's Anatomy, Gotham, Mob City and Almost Human.

Blood & Oil examines the biggest oil discovery in American history, which has triggered a geopolitical shift and an economic boom in North Dakota on a scale not seen since the 1849 California Gold Rush. Perrineau, repped by APA and Anonymous Content, will next be seen in upcoming features Jem And The Holograms, Kitchen Sink and sci-fi drama Equals. She most recently recurred on ABC Family's Chasing Life.
