It looks like Fish Mooney might not be surviving "Gotham's" inaugural season. Actress Jada Pinkett Smith confirmed Friday, Mar. 6 on "Live! With Kelly and Michael" she would not be returning for the FOX show's second season.

"I don't think so, no," the actress admits when asked about her return. "I signed for a year and, you know, the year is up."

Pinkett Smith did try to console the hosts about her departure by promising there's still a lot ahead for her bad girl character. "There are some great things coming ahead on 'Gotham,'" she promises. "There's a lot of good stuff coming."

Pinkett Smith didn't get into specifics about how her character would exit in Season 1, so at least there might be a possibility of Mooney returning to cause trouble in the later seasons.
