The rumors are true. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are divorcing after seven years of marriage, TMZ reports.

Cannon filed papers on Dec. 12, one week after Carey missed pre-taping a segment for the NBC tree-lighting special. At the time, Carey was reportedly meeting with her lawyers going over the terms of the property settlement.

Carey and Cannon met while filming the singer's "Bye, Bye" video. They married in the Bahamas in 2008 and have two children together, twins Monroe and Moroccan Scott Cannon.

Carey is already moving on from married life, signing on for a Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace.
