Alicia Keys is just two months away from giving birth to her second child — and no one's more psyched than her 4-year-old son Egypt Daoud.
"He is excited to be a big brother," the singer told PEOPLE at Keep a Child Alive's Black Ball at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Thursday night.
"I think he's super excited because he's not going to be the youngest anymore," she shares. "He's always kissing my belly."
The 33-year-old, whose second child is due Dec. 31, went on to say that having children has inspired her to work harder for social justice.
"Being a mother has definitely furthered my passion for Keep a Child Alive and just talking about issues in the world overall," she explains.
"My husband [rapper Swizz Beatz] tells me, 'You should go lay down,' " she says with a laugh. "But I can't. I'm inspired!"
