Olivier Martinez confirmed his engagement to Halle Berry in March, but up until now, Berry has been mum.

"Who knew [I'd get engaged again]?" she said with a laugh to Extra on Saturday, during her first red carpet appearance since Martinez popped the question.

"I swore it off, right? Never say never, people!"

(She did in fact swear it off, telling InStyle in 2007 that, "I will never, never get married again.")

In January, a rep for jewelry designer Gurhan told PEOPLE Martinez, 46, gave Berry, 45, a diamond-and-emerald engagement ring. They met while shooting 2010's Dark Tide and soon became an item off-screen.

The actress was previously married to baseball player David Justice and singer Eric Benét.
