Who needs a fairy godmother when you have Oprah Winfrey?

Reports surfaced earlier this week that that the OWN mogul was the godmother of Beyoncé and Jay-Z's baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter.

"Let me just say, if [this] is true, it is news to her," King said Friday morning on CBS This Morning. "You know, she was heading to South Africa when the baby was born."

A separate source close to the power couple's camp also tells E! News that this is not true.

No need to worry, though. Winfrey is pals with Beyoncé and Jay-Z, so Blue should still get first dibs on Winfrey's annual Favorite Things list.

And who knows? Blue already made her debut on the Billboard charts—she'll be ready for her own talk show in no time.
