Position:Business Analyst  
Location:Thousand Oaks, CA
Duration:6+months
Phone +face to face

Skills:
1. 5-7 years of experience as a Business with RUP Experience- This is a roll requiring heavy documentation using RUP methodology.
2. Some project management experience working with Developers to deliver on the custom applications. (Daily calls, asking questions, etc.)
3. Experience with custom configured systems is ideal, as well as experience with Document Generation Systems or Contract Lifecycle Management 
 
DAY to DAY Duties:
This person will be working with developers and clients to enhance the existing Contract Generation System. Very complex product where they need a candidate who can think on the fly and work well to project timelines. They will be leading the project, with support from a SME, and needs to have great documentation skills. Project is scheduled to go through the end of the year, but possibly could get extended into Q1 2012. 
 
BUSINESS DRIVER:
The Contract Generation System was implemented in 5 Phases, with the most recent phase completing in early 2010. This role is to have someone complete the enhancements on the CGS, which is a mission critical systems to multiple Amgen Lines of Business. 
 
Job Description:
This is an expert/lead-level job posting. Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization's systems and capabilities. Analyzes business partner's operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology. Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications. Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation. Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge. May make recommendations for buy versus build decision.
