Halle Berry is still basking in baby bliss since the arrival of her son, Maceo-Robert.

“[He's] perfect, just perfect. More love, more joy — having a new baby in your family brings that,” the actress, 47, told PEOPLE at Saturday’s 21st annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women in Los Angeles.

But the sudden surge of love in her life is balanced out by Berry’s need for a good night’s rest.

“[A new baby means] less sleep,” she says. “And I’m working on the TV show, [Extant]. It’s a new grind, it’s a new rhythm. We’re trying to get used to that. We’re managing.”

One thing the new mom has already gotten used to? Her body after baby.

“I’m healthy and that’s really good. When you’re nursing you can’t really diet because you have to keep producing milk,” Berry, also mom to 6-year-old daughter Nahla, explains.

“Listen, I’m healthy and I’m happy and that’s all that matters.”

As for the advice she’d give to former costar — and new dad – Bruce Willis, Berry jokes, “Well, I’m nursing right now. I don’t think he’s nursing himself so I don’t know what I could tell him.”
