En route to Camden, New Jersey, for a show on The Pinkprint Tour on Thursday, rapper Nicki Minaj took some time out of her busy schedule to visit kids at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, including Zion Harvey, the 8-year-old boy who recently became the first child to receive a double hand transplant.
Minaj is seen in a heartwarming photo kneeling next to the boy, with his hands bandaged as he is still healing from the July operation. The photo first appeared on the Instagram account of The Shade Room a popular urban blog.
The 32-year-old singer shared several photos on her own Instagram account of herself with other children at the hospital, describing her visit to the hospital before urging her more than 30 million followers: "If you need something to do in your spare time, try this."
The "Superbass" singer added: "I left feeling so inspired by these incredibly strong, beautiful, dynamic children. Pray for them, you guys. They would've melted your heart."
Little Zion Harvey has been melting the hearts of millions since doctor's revealed the news of the operation last month.
The 8-year-old underwent the 11-hour procedure in July after losing his hands and feet to a life-threatening bacterial infection as a toddler.
Harvey, from Baltimore, is spending the next several weeks going through hand therapy at an inpatient rehabilitation center at the hospital.
