Nicki Minaj kicked off the MTV Video Music Awards performances with some aggressive booty-shaking — and nearly suffered a major wardrobe malfunction.

After performing her new single "Anaconda," Minaj quickly changed and returned to the stage with Ariana Grande and Jessie J for their song "Bang Bang." But all eyes were on Minaj who was literally holding together her tight black dress as she rapped her verse.

So what happened? "We ran out of time getting the dressed zipped up," the performer said backstage, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
