If silence speaks 1,000 words and a simple photograph can say it all—then Mariah Carey is all about "dem babies" right now.

After Nick Cannon chose to go public with comments about the state of their marriage, Mariah—who, we've been told, is none too pleased—posted a sweet, albeit blurry, picture of their 3-year-old twins hugging.

"Friends forever!!!! #breakfastmoments," the pop star captioned the Instagram pic of daughter Monroe and son Moroccan.

So for the most part...the Grammy winner is staying mum about the drama. But we expect that all (or at least some) will be revealed soon.

"Mariah was devastated about the comments Nick made to The Insider," a source told E! News earlier today. "They had agreed to work on a statement together. A joint statement was being prepared when he went and gave those quotes to The Insider."

The pair, who quietly marked their sixth wedding anniversary on April 30 (after having celebrated the previous five in decidedly more flamboyant fashion), have been living apart for a while now and Cannon confirmed as much in his remarks yesterday, saying it had been "a few months."

"She can't believe he went and did that," our source said. "Not what they had agreed on and not classy. He was not supposed to say a word."

Instead of getting ready to renew their vows yet again in April, Cannon was shooting down cheating rumors and defending their union.

"It's amazing, man," Cannon told his America's Got Talent colleague Howard Stern during an interview on Stern's Sirius-XM morning show about his marriage to Mariah. "We about to be six years on the 30th."

About the rumors that Carey had cheated on him with Nas, Cannon said, "It's amazing to me when I hear that stuff. Nas is probably one of the best rappers to ever do it, Howard. He's a friend of mine, he's a friend of hers. She went to his birthday party and I think I was in L.A...We actually talked about this before. It'd be very difficult to make me jealous. I'm probably one of those dudes that's really secure in my relationship."
