Nicole Richie: Hair is Easier Than Makeup

Despite the fact that Nicole Richie always looks perfect on the red carpet, she insists that when it comes to beauty, she's hopeless.

"I actually don't know how to put on makeup — at all," she confesses to InStyle.com. "I have to get it done every time I want to wear makeup. I do not know how to wear it at all. It's so bad."

"I don't even own it," she continues. "I only own under-eye concealer, Maybelline mascara, and an eyelash curler."

But Richie's trademark off-duty look — funky separates and strategic oversized sunglasses — is usually punctuated with runway-ready tresses. Why? "I can do my own hair," she explains.
