MUST HAVE LIFE INSURANCE EXPERIENCE

 

Description:
The Data Architect position will be responsible for the analysis and design of conceptual and logical data models in the Life Insurance domain and assist with the physical data model and ETL design. This individual will be a member of a technical team implementing a new Actuarial Data Warehouse environment to support multiple experience studies. This position will also assist with the ETL architecture and detail design. A background consisting of 7+ years of data modeling with significant experience with Life Insurance Data Warehouse Architecture and ETL is required. Experience with CA Erwin, SQL Server, and Informatica is preferred.

 

Responsibilities:
Translate strategic requirements into a usable information architecture, which will include a data model and associated meta-model.
Develop data architecture and high-level data design for Life insurance Data Warehouse environment. Database design and data modeling within an Actuarial Data Warehouse environment, would be a plus.
Design and maintain the data integration architecture to include ER and dimensional modeling solutions.

 

Required Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse projects. Experience working with dimensional models and complex record layouts.
Strong knowledge of RDBMS systems - specifically Oracle 10g, SQL Server 2005/2008.
Working knowledge in technical aspects of business intelligence including data modeling, relational database management systems, ETL, metadata / data management.
Solid understanding of computers, programming, database tools/software, and Microsoft productivity applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Access)
Strong working knowledge of an ETL tool. Informatica experience a plus but will consider experience with Ab Initio, Data Stage, SAS Data Integration Studio, etc
Prior experience with Life Insurance systems specifically with Life Insurance Data Warehouse implementation
Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience.
