The Real co-host Tamar Braxton will not be returning when the syndicated daytime talk show returns for a third season next fall. The panel show, from Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, has a two-season renewal on the Fox stations where it originated with a summer trial run.
"The Real and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season," the producers said in statement. "She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with The Real appreciates Tamar's efforts and the contributions she has made to the show's success, and we wish her all the best for the future."
The statement comes amid reports that Braxton had been let go from the Telepictures-produced show.
On the strength of year-to-year ratings gains, The Real last fall became the first syndicated talk show show in years to earn a third-season renewal. The other co-hosts include Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon and Jeannie Mai.
