Mad Men, Empire, Transparent and The Americans lead the 2015 TCA Awards nominations

The Television Critics Association (TCA) has announced its nominees for the 31st annual TCA Awards, which recognize outstanding television programming from the 2014-15 season.

Leading the way in nominations are "Empire" and "Transparent" with four nominations apiece; "The Americans" and "Mad Men" each received three. For networks, HBO leads the way with seven noms; ABC, AMC, CBS and FX each received five. The awards will be given out Saturday, Aug. 8 as part of the TCA's bi-annual industry conference, running from July 28 to Aug. 13, 2015.
