{blackbabes} Did Jay Z and Beyoncé buy an old church in New Orleans?

New Orleans is no stranger to celebrity couples, but the Big Easy might have two new A-listers ambling through the French Quarter.

Gossip about music supercouple Beyoncé and Jay Z purchasing a property in the Garden District of New Orleans ran rampant last week. The building the couple (maybe, possibly?) bought was once a church and the ballet school of Harvey Hysell.

But are they really ready to brush the dirt off this old church?

Curbed NOLA nosed around and found the property is owned by Sugarcane Park LLC. A further search found the mailing address of Sugarcane Park went to Parkwood Entertainment LLC, Beyoncé's management company.

And we know the couple have spent some time in the Crescent City. Beyoncé's sister Solange Knowles co-owns Exodus Goods, a clothing store in the French Quarter. Beyoncé also attended Solange and producer Alan Ferguson's over-the-top wedding in New Orleans last fall. Oh, and Queen Bey also performed at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

But no one has said for sure if the power couple made the transition from tourists to locals, so we asked a few New Orleans real estate experts to weigh in. Here's what they had to say:

Alexander "Sandy" Cohen, of Mark Herman Real Estate, said: "Based on what I've read and heard, the mailing address for city taxes is a California financial and business affairs management firm associated with Jay Z in the past, so it certainly seems plausible that the couple would buy here."

Elizabeth McNulty, of Gardner Realty, said: "We can all just put together those puzzle pieces and deduce the information that we want it to say, you know? It is definitely somebody from Los Angeles who purchased it. But if it is Beyoncé, someone from her team, her mom, who's to know? But regardless, it will be a fun neighbor and a great piece of property."

Meanwhile, Karen Sepko, of Red Bean Realty, said, "Yes, Beyoncé definitely bought this property in the Garden District. It is an old church on a side street near St. Charles Avenue. I believe it will be a complete renovation."

"I think she did buy it,"said Shannon Sharpe, of Sharpe Realty. "It is an amazing piece of property, one of the most unique properties in the city. Before it sold, it was owned by a couple who got married there and lived at the property for 20 years, but never completed any of the big renovations that were needed to get another 100 years out of the building. I can totally see Beyoncé and Jay Z investing in it and pimping the place out."

And since everyone seems to agree (or at least they aren't disagreeing), we deduce Beyoncé might have liked New Orleans enough to put a ring on it.
