Ireland Baldwin, the model daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger who revealed on Monday that she'd checked into rehab for "emotional trauma," recently broke up with her girlfriend, rapper Angel Haze, a source confirms.
The couple announced their relationship in June, with Haze bluntly telling a publication, "We [bleep], and friends don't [bleep]."
But sources close to Baldwin, who confirmed the split Tuesday night, insist it was not the reason she voluntarily entered rehab, but it was "due to a variety of pressures in her life."
Baldwin, 19, announced on Twitter on Monday that she's checked into Malibu's Soba Recovery Center suffering deep "emotional trauma."
Haze posted a cryptic message on Tumblr Tuesday, saying, "I don't understand why people can't ever keep their mouths shut. It's enough that someone has to deal with something on such a public platform, before you insert your two meaningless pennies, keep the [bleep] to yourself. I don't give a [bleep], man. I love who I love."
Baldwin denied Tuesday that her famous parents are responsible for her issues.
After someone tweeted, "wack-a-do parents, hollywood lifestyle . . . isn't it always how this stuff turns out?" she responded, "Oh it can! Not this time but it sure can."
