Watch out, Lily Tomlin: The Beygency is not gonna be happy about this one!

The 74-year-old actress was recently asked by Pride Source what she thought of Beyoncé as a "modern-day feminist." But instead of directing the expected unmitigated praise at Hova's wife, she accused Queen Bey of "selling a lot of sex to teeny-boppers."

Say what now!? "She is a pretty popular woman and she's married to a very powerful man," Lily tried to explain, "but she's still selling sex."

When Pride Source pointed out to the feminist star that Beyoncé's massive fan base (or The Beygency, as Saturday Night Live likes to joke) would be upset with this accusation, Lily softened her stance.

"Oh, s--t," she said. "I like her! I don't dislike her! But I don't pay any attention to that because—I mean, she's fantastically beautiful and dances, but, you know, it's very suggestive. If I was a 10-year-old, I would try to emulate her like most 10-year-olds do."

But Lily, who takes issue with our culture being "so sexualized with girls and women," doesn't really have a specific beef with Bey. She admitted, too, she "shouldn't even talk about Beyonce because...I'm not terribly conversant with Beyonce."

"If you played her songs, I wouldn't necessarily recognize them," she said. "I'm familiar with her image and how incredibly vivacious and sexual she is to watch, so I just chalk it up to the culture."

Fair enough. Just remember, though, who Run the World? Girls—and Queen Bey is the driving force for all those females!
