It's official: Lupita Nyong'o can do no wrong.

Say what you will about this Chanel dress that Lupita wore to the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, but she worked it.

Sure, the multi-colored frock looks a bit like a piñata, and a whole lot like a Technicolor dreamcoat turned into a designer dress, but Lupita manages to pull the look off flawlessly.

The high-necked, candy-colored gown may be a polarizing choice, but we think it's refreshing that the 31-year-old actress chose something that screams "fun" for the notoriously light-hearted awards show.

And with so many typically outrageous stars going for plain black dresses, it was nice to see Lupita wear something joyful. This getup (complete with sky blue pumps—swoon!) really puts a spring in our step.

And we're guessing Lupita may be maxed out on sophisticated, princess-style dresses after donning so many glam gowns during awards season, and she wanted to do something totally cool and out-of-the-box.

When Lupita goes for it, she really goes for it, and we give her top honors for bringing something beautiful and interesting to the red carpet. We love to see her kooky side!
