Mel B.: L.A. is home. It's where the kids go to school. I lived in Australia for two years. It was fun. I am an L.A. girl. In L.A., you can be work-work-work or completely relax. Here in New York, if I was just relaxing, I felt like I should be doing something.
Zap2it: As you judge the hopefuls for "America's Got Talent," what are you looking for?
Mel B.: Someone super-talented, someone who makes us say, 'Wow! We are seeing someone doing something incredible."
Zap2it: You stand up to Howard Stern. What's your relationship like?
Mel B.: Howard and I have a little bit of a go at each other. I got him to a club. It was, "Put your hands in the air." Nick [Cannon] was DJ'ing. I tell him, "You are not the boss of my buzzer."
Zap2it: That's a beautiful rock on your finger. What is it?
Mel B.: It's a yellow diamond. It got bigger through the years. I can't believe I am married seven years. I married my best friend, my everything.
Zap2it: What do you like to do with your kids?
Mel B.: Hang out at the pool and hang out at the house. We have a movie theater.
Zap2it: When did you know you wanted to be an entertainer?
Mel B.: When I was young, I would pretend to have a radio show for my family and make them applaud.
Zap2it: Do you have a guiding philosophy?
Mel B.: My first tattoo: qi - spirit, heart and mind.
