Position:Java Developer
Location:Newark, NJ
Duration:6+Months

Position Description:
Our client in the Greater Newark, NJ area is looking for several experienced (5+ years) Java Developers for a 6-12 month contract. This project-based position will be developing EMR solutions to be sold commercially, so development experience with commercially used/sold products is a huge plus. This position is primarily focused on evaluating, developing, documenting, and unit testing solutions as per requirements. They will need to work closely with the QA and design team to deliver solutions according to quality and deadlines.
Required Skills:
• 5-7+ years of Java development experience (both client-side frontend and server-side backend)
• 5+ years of experience programming with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL (writing queries, identifying structures, java multi-threading) *use screening questions
• Exposure to SOAP, REST, and Application Services/Web Services
• Excellent Communication Skills (ability to ask probing questions and develop a deep understanding of how to be as collaborative as possible for this small team environment)
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn new concepts and adjust to changing technology ("go-getter")
• Prior experience working within a technical environment that is converting/upgrading their current technology
Preferred Skills:
• Swing technology experience is a plus. (maintaining current Swing, not building new)
• May be converting to HTML5, also a plus
• Healthcare/EMR/EHR experience
• Diverse background a plus (finance, healthcare, etc.)
