Nicki Minaj has finally responded to DJ Khaled's bizarre marriage proposal, confessing that the whole stunt was meant to draw attention to the exec's new music.

"I was shocked just like the rest of the world," Minaj said during a radio interview on Hot 97. "I was cracking up laughing with the rest of the world 'cause Khaled is a master at what he does."

It appears Khaled's scheme was an elaborate plug for his new track "I Wanna Be With You" off his upcoming album, "Suffering From Success."

"It was just another way for him to kinda give the world a glimpse on the feeling of this record. Nobody in my real life took it seriously," she explained of her Young Money label-mate. "Everybody just hit me like, 'LOL. Yo, Khaled is crazy.'"

The "Starships" rapper then added they aren't even dating: "Khaled is my brother and Khaled was not serious with that damn proposal, ya'll. Please let it go. He was kidding. He's not attracted to me, he doesn't like me. We're brother and sister."

Last week, Khaled insisted that his proposal was completely sincere after his MTV video went completely viral.

"I want to marry her! She can take her time and think about it. At least she knows how I feel now," he told Us Weekly.

The "American Idol" judge also whipped her fans into a tizzy when she was seen with a huge rock on her engagement finger while out with her friends in Beverly Hills over the weekend.
