Description:
Our Client has an immediate need for an open source web developer. This will be a 6 month project focusing primarily on front-end web development. Open Source development skills and experience required. Familiarity with MVC model and/or ZEND Framework and/or object-oriented programming would be helpful.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Coding and development of website, web pages, functionality, database programming, among other development-related responsibilities.
• Support Senior Architect / Developer as needed/directed.
• Work in conjunction with e-Marketing team to manage and load content on websites
o Add new product information
o Change and update requests from all areas of Marketing, Customer Service, etc.
o Includes public, intranet, extranet and e-commerce sites
• Perform routine web content updates using content management tools
• Interact with technical staff, IS, Marketing, Customer Service, etc. to proactively identify and resolve website content issues and opportunities
• Document procedures and processes as required; recommend improvements as appropriate
• Testing and QA review of website changes and content additions
• Manage concurrent requests and prioritize work

Background and Qualifications:
• Development experience with the following:
o HTML5 / XHTML
o CSS2.1 / CSS3
o JavaScript / Ajax
o jQuery
o MySql
o Photoshop/GIMP, Fireworks helpful
• Familiarity with analytical tools; Google Analytics and WebTrends preferred
• Additional skill useful: Website Speed / Performance, Debugging Tools (Firebug, etc)
• Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
• Excellent work ethic, positive attitude and sense of urgency
• Development experience with the following:
o HTML5 / XHTML
o CSS2.1 / CSS3
o JavaScript / Ajax

o MySql
