Job Description:
Systems Analysts (SA's) provide comprehensive consultation to technical staff and business unit clients in recommending and implementing solutions to business problems. SA's prepare detailed system requirements, specifications and documents and provide consultative services through all phases of the System Development Life Cycle.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
Lead JAR sessions with business and IT partners, Elicit and prepare detailed system requirements through conducting JAR/JAD sessions, interpreting business requirements and working with business partners and development teams
Prepare requirement specifications such as Use cases and System requirement specifications and Supplementary specifications; Tag and trace system requirements to business requirements
Develop functional design details and specifications through collaboration with development teams and using system architecture and other technical considerations
Provide analyst support during all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle including development and testing (unit/system) phases
Responsible for all artifacts and tasks produced by Systems Analyst in the Requirements and Analysis and Design disciplines including Use Cases, Software Requirements Specification (SRS), Functional design, Business Rules, User Interface requirements, Mapping documents, Supplementary Specifications and associated diagrams.
System issue resolution of critical problems/tickets through data analysis and root cause analysis
Partner with other IT staff to ensure that designs meet business and technical requirements
Consult with business and IT clients to resolve business and technical issues. Primarily support Enrollment, Billing and Fulfillment systems for Individual, Group and Medicare products in a Health Insurance environment

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ IT /Engineering or equivalent work experience
5 or more years of work experience in an application development, testing and/or analytical role; plus 2 years of client consulting experience
Knowledge of Enrollment, Billing and Fulfillment systems for Individual, Group and Medicare products in a Health Insurance environment
Working experience with planning, leading, documenting and facilitating JAR sessions, eliciting and analyzing system requirements and capturing in System Use Cases or System Requirements Specifications (SRS) and developing Functional Design Specifications
Working experience with Software Development Lifecycles including the Agile, Rational Unified Process (RUP) and Waterfall methodologies
Experience in working with development teams in determining the functional design details.
Highly skilled in verbal and written communication speaking to non-technical resources about technical issues and concepts
Superior analytical and problem solving/root cause analysis skills
Knowledge of web technologies (e.g., Java), database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL) and legacy technologies (e.g., COBOL, JCL)
Experience with Rational Tool Set (RequisitePro, ClearCase, RSA), Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Internet Explorer.
Experience using SQL Navigator and running simplex to medium complex queries.
Hands-on experience with Billing/Invoicing, Payment Processing, General Ledger and Accounting desirable.
Experience conducting JAR/JAD sessions and working with Business Stakeholders to gather requirements and work back with development team.
Must be willing to handle multiple projects at same time
