Position:Manual QA Analyst with AS 400 Testing
Location: Downers Grove, IL

Position:Manual QA Analyst with AS 400 Testing

Must Haves:
4/5 yrs experience – 100% QA work - they do not want anyone over qualified.
Strong manual test case writing – they will be doing all manual testing
Strong AS 400 testing – they will be testing AS 400 100% of the time.

Can work in a highly dynamic, fast paced environment
Current navigation knowledge of AS400 front and back end (we are a heavy AS400 shop, if there is web testing it must be duplicated on the AS400)
Proficient in SQL writing and execution (basic queries , data farming, and joins)
Proficient in test case writing and execution

Day to Day:
Carry out testing activities related to Client development projects and other systems projects including, and ensure that all deliverables are released to specification with the highest quality standards.

Perform Quality Assurance Testing
Develop and maintain test plans, manual test scripts for user interface, functionality, system and "ad-hoc testing"
Execute regression tests, functional tests and data tests
Identify, log, prioritize, communicate, and resolve issues with developers and/or project managers. Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
Maintain expert knowledge on how our products work
Assist other Client Group personnel by leveraging expert knowledge
Keep current with all new functionality additions and changes
Help to enhance the QA team by continually improving processes
Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness
Document test procedures to ensure reusability and compliance with department standards
Job Functions:
This position will be responsible for providing testing services during regular business hours as well when necessary to achieve project deadlines. Testing services will be provided by Client's Quality Assurance Department for new applications, additions or modifications to existing applications, hardware/infrastructure upgrades, hardware/infrastructure failover simulations.
This position will be responsible for providing testing and documentation services for the various Client products that span multiple platforms including iSeries and Web applications
