DESCRIPTION:
The E-Commerce Java Developer position is a member of the Dotcom/MIS E-Commerce Group that develops and supports our e-commerce websites. This position is part of the ecommerce architecture team that is responsible for the technical development of the Java J2EE ecommerce website application.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with internal ecommerce teams to collect Java application requirements for website functionality.
Create/Modify J2EE applications for dynamic data driven website architecture.
Interact with Interface development team for appropriate design development
Debug and troubleshoot website J2EE application issues.
Participate in the ongoing development initiatives as directed by the Architecture Development Manager.
Learn and develop extensions to the ecommerce ATG platform
Work with internal ecommerce teams to collect Java application requirements for website functionality.

REQUIREMENTS:
4+ yrs. Core Java Experience.
Hands-on experience with Oracle ATG Web Commerce platform.
2+ yrs. of experience in designing and deploying scalable, high performance, server-side software (Java, Servlets, AJAX , JSP & Jquery a plus)
Understanding of JBOSS Application Server and prefer prior hands-on experience.
Demonstrate understanding of J2EE application architecture (EAR, WAR, JAR structure) and use of Stateful/Stateless Session Beans, Business Objects, Entity Beans and POJO development
Experience in developing Web Services using WSDL, SOAP, RMI a plus,
Object Oriented Analysis and Design/Development (OOA/OOD).
Knowledge and ability to design develop code and test Java software components, particularly in a web application environment.
Experience with J2EE design patterns.
Knowledge and practice of software development methodologies, such as Agile & Iterative Development necessary
Proficient with SQL Databases (SQL SERVER or Oracle)
Must be comfortable with Eclipse based IDE development and source code control systems (ie. Subversion)
Minimum 2 years of experience using Unix/Linux in a development environment.
