Duration: 6 months plus
The OBIEE Administrator will partner with a wide variety of infrastructure and application architects to create long-term platform strategies and develop and document best practices for data warehousing and enterprise reporting. Candidates require demonstrable experience with and a broad understanding of the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 11.1.1.5 suite of tools.
Primary responsibilities include:
Daily operational management of the OBIEE 11.1.1.5 environment including data modeling, cubing, query tuning and capacity planning
Installation, patching and upgrading of OBIEE 11.1.1.5 systems, including Informatica 9.0.1 and DAC 10.1.3.4.1, across development, test and production domains
Collaboration with functional users to understand and realize reporting objectives and how they inform system architecture
Scheduling and scripting of daily jobs and maintenance routines
Manages the BI application library, including version control for existing applications and the distribution of new applications
Supports OBIEE 11.1.1.5 Web Logic Server and related components
Supports Informatica 9.0.1 Server and related components within the OBIA 7.9.6.3 packages
Supports DAC 10.1.3.4.1 Server and related components within the OBIA 7.9.6.3 packages
Performs root-cause analysis and tuning for poorly performing ETL feeds
Supports management of databases and RAC nodes
Implements and documents backup and disaster recovery procedures
Configures and troubleshoots diverse source systems connected to the data warehouse
Establishes and manages OBIEE system security

The OBIEE Architect must have broad experience with the various aspects of a successful and dynamic Business Intelligence Information Delivery program and well-developed skills with the required tools. This experience must include Data Warehouse architecture design and development, ETL from multiple varied data sources, design of hierarchies, dimensions, and aggregates, as well as the development of the presentation layer via reports, metrics, and dashboards.
Bachelor's degree
8 years of experience in Information Technology
5 years of experience in a business analyst role with experience in analysis, requirements gathering, system design and quality assurance testing, preferably with experience in Oracle Analytics
5+ full life cycle projects in Oracle BI technologies and/or Siebel Analytics
Preferred experience with HR Analytics application with Oracle as a data source
Deep experience and knowledge with OBIEE platform and HR Analytics application
Strong experience and knowledge of ETL tools, Informatica required
Strong working knowledge of ELT tools, ODI preferred
Complete understanding of data warehouse architecture, normalized/de-normalized, star schemas, and snowflakes
Analytical, detail oriented, organized, creative thinker and problem solver
Demonstrated ability to function in a lead role, enlisting the cooperation and support of other team members, while also being a strong individual contributor
Desire and ability to share knowledge and develop skills in other team members
Ability to be effective in a fast paced environment, adapt easily to changing priorities
8 years of experience in Information Technology
