Title : Windows Systems Engineer
Location Burlington, MA
Duration 3-6 months.
Rate: DOE
Can only use locals – NH, MA, RI, CT
Must have skills include:
Windows Server 2003/2008
Linux, Ubuntu preferred
Active Directory
Virtualization/ VMWare ESX
4+ years experience supporting Linux in a large corporate environment
Lead multiple large scale projects related to Linux servers and providing computing solutions
Knowledge of industry best practices related to server administration, monitoring, storage, backup, high availability and disaster recovery
Planning, installing, configuring, supporting, and optimizing Linux and Windows server systems, network connections and communication links
Maintaining the operating system and utility software on all network computer platforms (Windows 2008 domain, Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, VMWare) by analyzing, designing, installing, scripting, testing and documenting new functionality.
Installation, deployment, support and maintenance of physical and virtual server hardware and operating environments.
Installation, deployment, support and maintenance of backup systems.
Monitor all Linux systems and traffic to ensure maximum availability and performance.
