Position: SQL Developer
Location: San Francisco, CA
Duration:12+ month
Very experienced Database Analyst to support business intelligence projects
The position is responsible for extensive hands-on data modeling, front-end development, data acquisition, analysis, database design as well as interfacing with internal business partners to gather, critically assess, and implement business requirements for statistics-based reporting spanning financial, marketing, and business development activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience in front-end development for on-line reporting using MS SQL Reporting Services
• Ability to design and carry out statistical data analysis in support of research activities >> strong data mining experience
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in data analysis
• Demonstrated experience using SQL Server 2008 as a tool for data analysis
• Proficient in SSAS , SSRS, SSIS and T-SQL scripting
• Excellent data interpretation and presentation skills
• Willingness/ability to take ownership of a project
• Expertise in planning, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of SQL databases/processes
• Ability to handle critical data/database management initiatives - including responsibility for database architecture, design, integration, and/or data modeling
• As the recognized technical expert, consults extensively with multiple client groups to provide strategic solutions
• Provides oversight, mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff
• Exceptionally fast learner, able to reach non-trivial SME level under tight deadlines
• High energy, can-do attitude, self-directed, pro-active, self-starter who excels in an environment with limited supervision
• Demonstrated data analysis experience with high visibility projects within complex data context
• Ability to manage multiple complex exercises in various stages simultaneously
• Ability to manage internal customer expectations while adhering to internal SLA timeframes
• Excellent facilitation, oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with varying levels of staff and management
• Comfortable in a virtual environment, e.g. conference calls and webinars
• Ability to integrate multiple viewpoints and synthesize key messages
• Record of adaptability, resilience, and effectiveness at directing multi-discipline, diverse work teams in a constantly changing business environment
• Thrives in a collaborative team environment and is able to work effectively with teams in remote locations
