Description:
The SQL Database & Report Developer is responsible for design and development of Microsoft reporting solutions and database objects such as SSRS reports, SSIS packages, tables, indexes, triggers, stored procedures and views. The ability to troubleshoot performance problems and data issues is required. Candidate should have excellent communication skills with management, development teams, business staff, vendors, systems administrators and other related service providers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and develop SSRS reports
• Design and develop database schema, functions, tables, stored procedures, and ETL.
• Develop creative solutions and write technical design based on the requirements
• Assist in tuning and optimization.
• Develop and execute unit tests for product components.
• Perform peer code reviews and provide feedback
• Promote high quality, scalability, and timely completion of projects.
• Work with Developers, Solutions Analysts, and DBA Team.
• Modify existing databases, as user needs change.
• Design and develop SSRS reports

EXPERIENCE:
Must have technical skills/experience:
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Database Development utilizing SQL Server 2000/SQL Server 2005 and/or SQL Server 2008.
• Proven track record of experience developing stored procedures, tables, views, and functions (writing code).
• Detailed understanding and experience with DTS & SSIS
• Proven experience designing and deploying production quality SQL Server databases and code.
Must have technical skills/experience:
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Database Development utilizing SQL Server 2000/SQL Server 2005 and/or SQL Server 2008.
• Proven track record of experience developing stored procedures, tables, views, and functions (writing code).
• Detailed understanding and experience with DTS & SSIS
• Proven experience designing and deploying production quality SQL Server databases and code.
Ideal candidates will possess:
• Prior experience working with end users/strong communication skills.
• Prior experience with both OLAP & OLTP databases
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment a plus.
• Candidate will be a results oriented creative/strategic thinker with leadership skills; analytical with attention to detail, excellent organization and time management skills; and strong oral and written communication skills.
Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) from four-year College or University; or minimum 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
