Duration:4 month contract
Our client in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator for Linux based systems and storage.
Will work with stakeholders to determine system specifications, functionality and parameters for hardware/software requirements.
Provide support for installation, operation and maintenance of software and networked servers and Linux based appliances and storage; system diagnostics and troubleshooting, including analysis of ongoing performance and systems/network interaction.
Work with manager to identify and implement products and services to improve application uptime, improve efficiencies, addresses security requirements and compliance requirements. Some of these systems include a system/application log consolidation system, a system monitoring application and a build and configuration management system, RedHat Satellite server management.
Work closely with Development group to deploy and support internally developed applications.
Develop continuous roadmap of upgrades and improvements for existing systems and work with Manager to implement ensure systems are constantly kept maintained and secure. Work with vendors and lead coworker groups to coordinate and implement intergroup projects.

Basic Qualifications Must have:
7+ years of experience within an enterprise Linux environment
Enterprise storage management skills desirable; experience with EMC VNX and Clariion as well as Net App devices desirable.
Strong working experience with technical end users such as programmers and performing end user support.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or other Bachelor degree with relevant job background.
Candidate who will be considered for this must have 5-7 years of experience within an enterprise Linux environment.
Enterprise storage management skills desirable.
Experience with EMC VNX and CLARiiON as well as Net APP devices desirable.
Candidate must have experience working with technical end-users such as programmers, and performing end-user support.
Experience with Solaris, AIX, Data Guard, and RAC is helpful
