Position:ETL/Informatica Developer
Location:Houston, TX
Duration:6+month 

 

DUTIES
Ensure accuracy and integrity of source data and application through analysis, coding, writing clear documentation and problem resolution
Analyze and translate data specifications and change requests into code-ready technical specifications
Develop, test and implement ETL scripts including business logic
Perform ETL script and business logic code reviews
Work with tools such as Informatica, Oracle 10g, and VAX/Fileman files
Coordinate with EMR and CAI leading the execution and validation of ETL scripts and business logic
Document entire end to end process from Source data to LCDR for iterative execution
Document and track ETL Script bugs
Attend project meetings and present deliverables to team and client 

 

SKILLS REQUIRED
Informatica (1 yr)
VAX/Fileman experience (1 yr)
Oracle database 10g or equivalent relational database experience (2 yrs)
Translating business needs into end user apps (2 yrs)
Designing, developing & testing large ETL application for data warehouse application (3 yrs). Experience may be simultaneous
Experience in Information Services in a Healthcare setting 

 

SKILLS PREFERRED
Experience in an agile development environment
Experience working in Information Services domain in an Oncology setting.
Experience with data collection / analysis in a Clinical Trials Management setting
Certified Data warehouse specialist is a plus 

 

DELIVERABLES
Data Mappings & Schema
ETL Script Reviews
Weekly submission of activity report to the Project Manager
Fully executable ETL scripts for each VAX/fileman file
Procedural documentation for end-to-end ETL process 

 

EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or management information systems
Required: 3 years plus relevant experience OR 5 years of experience as a Computer Software professional
Optional: Certified Data Warehouse Specialist is a plus
