"We both grew up watching the show and had a fondness for it," Phil Lord, one of "21 Jump Street's" two directors tells Zap2it at the movie's premiere on Tuesday (March 13) in Hollywood. "There's the whole idea of going back to high school. A lot of details from the original are in there. Of course, we kept the Jump Street the same and the captain. We have a lot of cameos."
"The original show had so much sympathy for the kids they were investigating, and though it's a funny movie, we thought about it the same way. I love all those characters," Miller tells Zap2it. "I wanted them to be all right."
