Position:Storage Consultant
Location:Jersey City, NJ
Duration:3+months
Description:
§ Strong Storage Admin with hands-on experience with VNX/Celerra/DMX/CX arrays.
Should be able to allocate storage to multiple OS environments
Experience with MDS switches
Successful candidate should possess skills to migrate consolidate data between arrays.
Understanding of SAN security (LUN masking and storage provisioning)
Experience with SYMCLI utility as well as the tools to migrate data between arrays.
In-depth knowledge of storage performance utilizing Performance Manager/IOPS/Qdepth and other third party software
Experience with VMAX FAST VP and experience with Thin provisioning on CX
Experience with Optimizing the NetApp storage environment
Assist in analyzing, tuning and configuring SAN storage to perform optimally.
Experience with storage de-duplication, thin provisioning, and NAS is a plus.
Design and deployment of advanced computing and storage technologies, eg server virtualization, storage virtualization, etc.
Hands on experience in managing SAN (EMC) environments (including SAN switches/zoning)
Documentation and writing skills is a key to this role along with the ability to work horizontally across organizations and groups.
Strong operating system background primarily in UNIX (Solaris) and Wintel.
