Beyonce's parents Mathew and Tina Knowles have officially divorced, a year after their initial split was dismissed by the courts.

The pop superstar's mother filed for divorce from manager Mathew in 2009 just weeks after he was accused of fathering a lovechild with another woman.

The divorce case was dismissed last year after both parties failed to appear at a court hearing, but the former couple's split has now been made official.

A final decree of divorce was issued last month in Texas, according to TMZ.com.

In the divorce documents, Tina declared the marriage crumbled because of "discord or conflict of personalities" which "prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation."
