Position:SAP ABAP Developer HCM, FI, SC modules
Location: Jackson, Michigan
Duration: 6 months
Job Description
This position is for an ERP developer capable of performing the role of an SAP ERP ABAP developer/analyst, as well as handling general support for various ERP packaged applications, includinging PowerPlant. The ERP Development team develops, maintains and trouble shoots ABAP programs in support of the SAP utility ERP module, as well as maintaining numerous ERP packaged applications including PowerPlant. The SAP ERP components supported by the Development team include; HR, eRecruiting, SC and FI. Primary Development team member responsibilities and activities follow:
Development of Technical specifications from Functional requirements.
Support for the PowerPlant application that requires SQL skills and troubleshooting application problems
Support for numerous packaged applications
New ABAP program development.
-Maintain/enhance existing ABAP programs.
-Troubleshoot production problems and performance issues, then find resolutions
-Perform and document technical testing
- Provide Redwood (Batch) Job Scheduling Support
-Participate in problem escalation and resolution, working with functional personnel and SAP Enterprise Support.
-Work with other teams (Database Administration, BASIS, Security and XI) as needed to resolve problems and implement changes.
-Provide technical consulting expertise to functional teams.
-Investigate/Learn new technologies and solutions from SAP.
-Mentor/train less experienced ABAP developers in ABAP programming and ABAP related development tools
Candidates should meet the following knowledge requirements:
Three years of recent, full-time, experience in SAP ABAP programming with experience in SAP FI, SC and HCM modules
SAP ABAP Programming for Reports, Dialog programming, Enhancements, Interfaces, Conversion Programs, Object Oriented programming and Business Object Repository and Forms
Search, Review and Application of OSS notes
Advanced SAP debugging skills
Principles and techniques of systems analysis, design and testing
Principles of program documentation
Principles of report, screen, and form design
Develop and code complex programs for SAP modules
Develop test data and analyze performance problems in programs
Recognize the critical elements of application problems, develop and evaluate data, determine solutions, and make logical recommendations
Express difficult and complex concepts clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
Write clear and logical program documentation
Work effectively and independently on assigned projects
Work effectively and cooperatively with administrators, staff, users, project consultants and vendors
Meet established priorities and schedules
