Position:Data Architect
Location:Miami, FL
Duration:6+months

Summary:

Responsible for ensuring that new and enhanced interfaces meet data quality requirements for integrating Restaurant Management BOH (Back-Of-Office) Labor and Inventory data with the corporate Global Data Warehouse and operational systems.   Qualified candidates will have extensive data management experience in developing enterprise data models and business intelligence solution architectures the Restaurant Management industry.  Successful candidates have expertise deciphering and augmenting Retail data models and database designs in the Quick Service Restaurant segment of Restaurant Management provide oversight and assistance in the development of source-to-target mapping and transformation specifications for data warehouse ETL and operational system interfaces.  and supporting the design of ETL procedures and related testing activities. 

Responsibilities:

Develop a Data Integration solution architecture including data migration requirements for all interface development between the restaurant BOH Labor and Inventory Management systems.  This includes the assembly of day-part aggregations from POS transaction detail.
Analyze and document current state Data Profile and life cycle across the restaurant management BOH system and the corporate data warehouse and operational systems.
Define purpose, ownership, usage, security, and quality business rules of in scope RMS data are addressed in interface source-to-target mapping and transformation specifications.
Augment design of corporate data warehouse logical and physical data models
Provide solution architecture guidance to ETL architecture and development resources  developing interface components
Assist DBA personnel in finalizing data warehouse physical database designs
 
Minimum Qualifications:

10+ years IT experience with at least two years developing restaurant management solutions
5+ years experience as data architect for enterprise data management solutions including data warehouse and operational data integration
Experienced in all aspects of data management methods and practices including data modeling, design of data schemas, data migration/conversion and data warehousing
Hands-on experience in developing enterprise data architectures and
complex data models for both operational as well as data warehouse applications
In-depth knowledge of entity relationship modeling, relational modeling, dimensional modeling.  Knowledge of UML modeling is a plus
In-depth knowledge of operational systems data architecture and data integration approaches
In-depth knowledge of various DW architecture approaches (e.g. Hub and Spoke, Dependent Data Marts, etc.)
In-depth knowledge of major data model management toolsets (e.g., CA Data Manager/ERwin, Embarcadero ER/Studio, etc.) and SQL language
Knowledge of Informatica ETL technologies
Knowledge of BI technologies (Business Objects, Cognos, MicroStrategy, Hyperion Essbase, etc.)
Hands-on experience with Oracle 10g and 11g RDBMS a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required
