Law & Order: Special Victims Unit's Tamara Tunie is returning to daytime.

The actress, who plays medical examiner Melinda Warner on SVU, has nabbed a recurring role on Days of Our Lives, TVLine reports. Tunie will play Weston, a tough judge who will make a decision that impacts John Black's life.

Her brief arc is set to start Friday, Nov. 18.

Tunie, whose credits also include a recurring role on 24, got her big break on As the World Turns in 1986, playing Jessica Griffin.
