Rihanna: 1, fat-shamers: 0.
The 29-year-old singer silenced her critics Monday on Instagram with a cheeky meme following a body shaming piece from Barstool Sports' Chris "Spags" Spagnuolo days prior.
"If you can't handle me at my 2007 Gucci Mane, you don't deserve me at my 2017 Gucci Mane," the image read with a split image of the rapper at different sizes.
In late May, Spagnuolo penned a post entitled, "Is Rihanna Going to Make Being Fat the Hot New Trend," which included the line: "A world of ladies shaped like the Hindenburg loaded into one-piece bathing suits may be on the horizon now that Rihanna is traipsing around there looking like she's in a sumo suit." Barstool President Dave Portnoy later deleted the piece noting it wasn't funny enough.
"To be honest I don't think the blog was as bad as many are making it out to be, but I'll tell you this. It wasn't that funny either," Portnoy wrote. "If you're gonna blog about Rihanna gaining weight you better be funny as f–k and you better make it bullet proof."
Spagnuolo has since been suspended from the site.
