{blackbabes} Beyoncé is ‘broken and disgusted’ by racism, the death of George Floyd

Amazon: Everything From A to Z

Beyoncé is the latest celebrity to speak up on behalf of slain Minnesota man George Floyd, who was killed by a police officer on-camera this week, sparking outrage and protests around the country.

"We all witnessed his murder in broad daylight," the superstar, 38, somberly told fans on Instagram, referring to the viral clip of former officer Derek Chauvin pressing his knee unto an unresponsive Floyd's neck for three minutes.

"We're broken and we're disgusted," the "Freedom" singer continued. "We cannot normalize this pain. I'm not only speaking to people of color. If you're white, black, brown, or anything in between, I'm sure you feel hopeless by the racism going on in America right now. No more senseless killings of human beings. No more seeing people of color as less than human. We can no longer look away.

"George is all of our family in humanity. He's family because he's a fellow American. There have been too many times that we've seen these violent killings and no consequences. Yes, someone has been charged but justice is far from being achieved."

Chauvin was arrested Friday and charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter, Hennepin County officials said. Three other cops who were at the scene were fired alongside Chauvin, but have yet to be brought up on any charges.

{blackbabes} Cush Jumbo Exiting ‘The Good Fight’ Ahead Of Season 5

The Good Fight
Amazon: Everything From A to Z

The Good Fight will be saying goodbye to attorney Luca Quinn. Cush Jumbo, who originated the role in the mothership series The Good Wife before moving to the CBS All Access spinoff in season 1, is exiting the series ahead of the upcoming fifth season, Deadline has confirmed.

The season 4 storyline for Jumbo's Quinn was cut short by three episodes due to the COVID-19 production shutdown.

"I have had the most amazing time over the last five years working with Robert, Michelle and the crews of both The Good Wife and The Good Fight," said Jumbo in a statement provided to Deadline. 'I will miss them all so much, but am so excited to explore pastures new. Due to the pandemic forcing us to shut down early we weren't able to wrap up Lucca's story fully and so I hope if schedules allow I can return next season to do that."

Creators Robert and Michelle King also released a statement: "We've loved every moment of working with Cush for the last five years and everyone in The Good Fight universe will miss her terribly. Given the pandemic-forced premature ending of Season 4, it's our hope that Cush will be able to return when we resume filming Season 5 in order to give Lucca a proper send-off."

Jumbo's exit follows that of co-star Delroy Lindo, who also departed ahead of season 5 to headline Harlem's Kitchen, ABC's Harlem family restaurant drama pilot from writer Zahir McGhee.  The show also saw the earlier departures of series regulars Rose Leslie, Erica Tazel and Justin Bartha.

{blackbabes} NBC & ‘America’s Got Talent’ Producers Announce Results From Investigation Into Gabrielle Union’s Exit

Amazon: Everything From A to Z

NBC, Fremantle and Syco on Wednesday morning issued a statement about the results from an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the firing of former America's Got Talent judge Gabrielle Union. The investigation was originally expected to wrap by end of January.

"Through the investigation process, it has been revealed that no one associated with the show made any insensitive or derogatory remarks about Ms. Union's appearance, and that neither race nor gender was a contributing factor in the advancement or elimination of contestants at any time," the statement said. "The investigation has shown that the concerns raised by Ms. Union had no bearing on the decision not to exercise the option on her contract."

Union departed the long-running talent competition in controversial fashion last November after one season. She is believed to have voiced concerns about a "toxic" culture on the show, including her hairstyle choices being called "too black."

"While the investigation has demonstrated an overall culture of diversity, it has also highlighted some areas in which reporting processes could be improved," the statement also said.

Union in December sat down with NBC to discuss her departure and the events that led to it. The goal of the meeting was to improve the culture and atmosphere on the competition series.

America's Got Talent this week launched its new season with new judge Sofia Vergara. Here is the full statement by NBC and the series' producers FremanteMedia and creator/exec producer/star Simon Cowell's Syco:

We have a shared passion to make America's Got Talent a positive, inclusive and diverse show that is open to all individuals from any country or background. We are proud and grateful that our contestants and audiences support our ongoing mission, which is represented in the incredible people who participate in the show each year. We have heard from contestants and talent alike that their experience on AGT has had a positive impact on their lives. When we heard Ms. Union had concerns about her time on the show, we took them extremely seriously.

NBC, Fremantle and Syco immediately engaged an outside investigator who conducted more than 30 interviews to review the issues raised by Ms. Union. While the investigation has demonstrated an overall culture of diversity, it has also highlighted some areas in which reporting processes could be improved.

Through the investigation process, it has been revealed that no one associated with the show made any insensitive or derogatory remarks about Ms. Union's appearance, and that neither race nor gender was a contributing factor in the advancement or elimination of contestants at any time. The investigation has shown that the concerns raised by Ms. Union had no bearing on the decision not to exercise the option on her contract.

NBC, Fremantle and Syco share Ms. Union's dedication to diversity and inclusion in the industry. We continue to remain committed to having an inclusive environment for everyone associated with the show, and to upholding AGT as one of the most diverse programs on television.

{blackbabes} Venus Williams launches sunscreen for all skin tones

https://nyppagesix.files.wordpress.com/2020/05/venus-williams-credo-beauty-sunscreen.jpg?quality=90&strip=all&w=460
Amazon: Everything From A to Z

Venus Williams is serving up some new skincare!

The tennis pro, 39, has teamed up with Credo Beauty to create two mineral sunscreen products that she hopes will put an end to a common problem with zinc-based SPFs: that cakey, chalky residue.

"SPF is a part of my daily routine because I spend so much time outdoors as a result of my job, and through the years I found that a lot of natural sunscreens left a white cast on my skin," Williams, who has been riding out the coronavirus pandemic in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, says.

"That's why with EleVen by Venus, we wanted to set a new standard for clean beauty and ensure our sunscreens is versatile, lightweight and blends with all skin tones. It really works for everyone!"

The EleVen by Venus x Credo On-the-Defense SPF 30 Sunscreen ($42) has a semi-matte finish and works for everyday wear and outdoor activities. The Unrivaled Sun Serum SPF 35 ($50) contains prickly pear for extra hydration, and is silky, yet quick-drying and can be worn alone or under makeup or moisturizer.

Both formulas contain 25 percent zinc oxide — they're physical rather than chemical sunscreens — and are also reef-safe.

Williams, who says she has sensitive skin and is now "crazy about skincare," admits that she wasn't always on the ball when it came to sun protection.

"I was bad for years. Serena really inspired me, we would practice side by side and I'd see her all the time in sunscreen and long sleeves," Williams said on Instagram Live announcing the collaboration. "Finally one day I realized what I was doing to my skin by not protecting it."

Williams' first foray into sun protection was in her Eleven by Venus activewear line, which features several designs made with UPF 50 fabric.

{blackbabes} Serena is the greatest and can equal Court - Becker

Serena is the greatest and can equal Court - Becker

Serena Williams is the greatest women's player of all time, says Boris Becker, who believes she can still equal Margaret Court's record of 24 grand slam singles titles.

Williams has won 23 slams in an incredible career, but the 38-year-old's quest to catch and potentially overtake Court has been dealt a blow by the suspension of the WTA Tour due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The spread of COVID-19 has led this year's Wimbledon - where Williams has won seven singles titles - to be cancelled. The French Open has been pushed back to September but both Roland Garros and the US Open remain in doubt.

Williams' recent record in finals also throws her hopes of equalling Court into question. She has lost each of her last four grand slam finals since returning to the tour following the birth of her daughter.

However, Becker is confident Serena can still win slams, telling Laureus.com: "Can Serena equal Margaret Court? She is past 30 and she's become a proud mother.

"I'm sure she would love to play the US Open this year. They call her the greatest of all time on the women's circuit, and she certainly deserves the title.

"Me, being German, I still think of Steffi Graf as our queen, but Serena is certainly, certainly the greatest. Margaret Court is the most successful. Having said that, back in the day they played three of the four majors on grass, so it was easier if you're comfortable on grass to win more.

"I'm sure Serena wants to reach 24, I think that's the reason she's playing. You know, she's a role model for all the mothers out there who are professionally involved in sport. As long as she wants to play, I think she can win. So as long as Serena is good enough to reach a final, she's good enough to win.

"Having said that, the young generation won't sleep. You know once you are in a final you're not playing the name, you're playing the title. That was Bianca Andreescu at the US Open final or Simone Halep in Wimbledon last year. They didn't play the name."

{blackbabes} Serena eager to return after lockdown break

Los Angeles (AFP) - US superstar Serena Williams says she's ready to play "real tennis" after the enforced rest of coronavirus quarantine.

"I really look forward to getting back on the court," the 23-time Grand Slam champion said in a chat with elder sister Venus during an Instagram live workout on Tuesday.

"It's what I do best. I absolutely love playing."

Tennis is on hiatus until at least mid-July thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the French Open postponed until autumn and Wimbledon cancelled for the first time since World War II.

Serena said she'd come to see the break as "a necessary evil.

"I felt like my body needed it, even though I didn't want it," said the 38-year-old, who last won a Grand Slam title at the 2017 Australian Open. "And now I'm feeling better than ever. I'm feeling more relaxed, more fit. Now I can go out and play real tennis."

Elder sister Venus, a seven-time Grand Slam winner, began posting workouts on Instagram eight weeks ago and this week she invited Serena, "the greatest tennis player to ever exist -- my little sister" to share a yoga-inspired stretching session.

Serena said the exercises, which took about half an hour, served as a warm-up for her, even though they were "a little intense."

"Do not injure yourself doing this," she admonished during one lunge, while advising at another point: "If you have bad knees, like me, use a pad."

{blackbabes} The Flash: Candice Patton Ponders Iris' Damage, Hints at 'Finale' Cliffhanger

Flash Preview Iris Escape Mirrorverse

As The CW's The Flash speeds toward its final two episodes of Season 6, the good news is that Barry got wise to Mirror Iris, who upon being found out was essentially snuffed by her "mother," Eva. The bad news is that Bar's actual better half remains trapped in the Mirrorverse.

What is Iris' next move toward liberating herself from that dizzying dimension? And what lasting damage might this involuntary "quarantine" do to the intrepid reporter? Candice Patton, who previously answered TVLine's burning questions about the April 28 episode's husband/"wife" brawl, here previews what's to come on Tuesday, May 5 at 8/7c and in the makeshift season finale airing May 12.

TVLINE | What is Iris' next move, still trapped there in the Mirrorverse? And will she need to worry about Eva returning?
That's a great question. I'm sure she's worried about Eva returning, how she'll return, what she'll do, so her next move is to figure out how to get out of there. In this next episode, you see her get out of [Eva's] office and travel around the city…. She finds other people that are in the Mirrorverse….

Flash Iris Kamilla

TVLINE | I figured that Kamilla and Singh had been, like, locked up in a broom closet there. Or is it not that simple?
It's not that simple, no. They're not just locked up in a broom closet. [Laughs] But Iris does eventually find them, that's for sure.

TVLINE | At the conclusion of her brawl with Barry, Mirror Iris seemed to be playing to Iris as an audience as she taunted Barry about how for weeks he had shared well-made pancakes, and his bed, with a phony. Is that fact that Barry was easily duped going to gnaw at Iris at all? Or will he get a pass?
Oh, I think for sure that will get a pass. I mean, he had no idea, so Iris can't hold Barry at fault for something he didn't know.

Flash Mirror Iris 6x16

TVLINE | Some of the points that Mirror Iris raised over the weeks about the balance in their marriage — though indelicately phrased — were valid, I thought.
Oh, like in the previous episode, when she manipulated him into leaving…? Yeah, those are all things that the real Iris has had issues with Barry about in the past. They are fair criticisms. He does make trigger decisions without consulting people, that is something Iris has brought up multiple, multiple times, so it's not far-fetched and she's not wrong, but obviously she was using that to drain Barry of his power. A bit unfair!

TVLINE | In what ways might Iris be forever changed by her time in the Mirrorverse?
Gosh, you've got A) neurodissonance, just to start. Who knows what kind of damage that has on a person? And then B), there is the trauma of being locked up in a Mirror World for so long. It's kind of like us being stuck in quarantine. Iris has been in quarantine with a crazy person, so there might be some trust issues and some residual trauma from that.
TVLINE | Will Episode 19, even as an unplanned finale, serve up a cliffhanger or two?
I hope so. I'm not sure how they're going to finish it and edit it. We have to deal with Iris still being stuck in the Mirrorverse, so I have no idea how they're going to put a button on it.
