{blackbabes} ‘Road House’ Character Posters: Newly Announced Post Malone, Plus Jake Gyllenhaal, Conor McGregor, Jessica Williams, Billy Magnussen & More

--

Forget Patrick Swayze, Sam Elliott, Kelly Lynch and Ben Gazzara (for now), there are new bouncers, proprietors and such in Road House, and here's a look at the character posters for Doug Liman's reboot of the 1989 camp classic. Click through the gallery above.

Amazon MGM Studios today revealed that Post Malone is in the cast, fresh off his pre-Super Bowl performance of "America the Beautiful." He'll play Carter in the pic.

We also get a retouched and stylized look at star Jake Gyllenhaal, along with Conor McGregor, Daniela Melchior, Jessica Williams, Billy Magnussen, Lukas Gage and Darren Barnet.

Jake Gyllenhaal plays Dalton – Swayze's role in the original. This time an ex-UFC fighter trying to escape his dark past and his penchant for violence. He is barely scraping by on the reputation that still precedes him when he is spotted by Frankie (Williams), owner of a roadhouse in the Florida Keys. She hires him to be her new bouncer in hopes of stopping a violent gang working for crime boss Brandt (Magnussen) from destroying her beloved bar. Even five to one, Brandt's crew is no match for Dalton's skills. But the stakes get higher with the arrival of ruthless gun-for-hire, Knox (McGregor).

The cast also includes Joaquim de Almeida, Arturo Castro, B.K. Cannon, Beau Knapp, Dominique Columbus, Bob Menery, Catfish Jean, Kevin Carroll, Travis Van Winkle and Hannah Lanier.

The film will hit Prime Video on March 21.

{blackbabes} Beyoncé Tries To Break Verizon In Super Bowl Commercial, Turns Into ‘BarBey’ & Teases New Country Music Album

Video: https://youtu.be/hRaBlE6maf4

Beyoncé attempted to break the Verizon network in a Super Bowl LVIII commercial and teased new music.

In the spot, the "Break My Soul" singer tried different ways to overload Verizon's wireless network by opening a Lemonade stand, dropping new music playing the saxophone, becoming a gamer, introducing an A.I. version of herself and channeling Barbie turning into "BarBey."

Beyoncé also tries to break the internet by announcing her candidacy as "Beyoncé of the United States," and going into space to perform.

However, none of Beyoncé's attempts broke Verizon with the singer saying, "You ain't gonna break me."

At the end, Beyoncé teased, "OK, they ready. Drop the new music."

Over on Beyoncé's socials, the singer shared a video teasing new country music, including the first single, "Texas! Hold 'em." The album is set to drop March 29.

News of Beyoncé's music comes a week after her husband Jay-Z blasted the Grammys for not awarding her Album of the Year despite being the most awarded artist in history.

"I'm just saying we just want you to get it right," Jay-Z said about the Grammys. "We love y'all. We want y'all to get it right — at least get it close to right."

Jay-Z acknowledged that music is subjective and added, "I don't want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year. So even by your own metrics, that doesn't work. Think about that. The most Grammys… Never won Album of the Year. That doesn't work."

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has revealed the nominees for the 2024 induction.

To be eligible for nomination, an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination. Ten out of 15 of the 2024 nominees are on the ballot for the first time, including Mariah Carey, Cher, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & the Gang, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, Sinéad O'Connor, Ozzy Osbourne and Sade.

The rest are Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Jane's Addiction, and A Tribe Called Quest.

"This remarkable list of nominees reflects the diverse artists and music that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame honors and celebrates," said John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. "Continuing in the true spirit of Rock & Roll, these artists have created their own sounds that have impacted generations and influenced countless others that have followed in their footsteps."

The 2024 ceremony will once again stream live on Disney+ with a special airing on ABC at a later date and available on Hulu the next day. The 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony streamed live on Disney+ for the first time ever; the special on ABC reached over 13 million viewers across linear and streaming, and ABC's New Year's Day telecast was the No. 1 entertainment choice among Adults 18-49.

Nominee ballots will be sent to an international voting body of more than 1,000 artists, historians and members of the music industry. An artist's musical impact and influence on other artists, length and depth of career and body of work as well as innovation and superiority in style and technique are taken into consideration.

{blackbabes} ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ Trailer: Lupita Nyong’o Fights For Survival In Horror Prequel

--
banners Puppybear.tv - Rakuten.ca - Amazon.com - Swagbucks - MyPoints - DailyRewards

Video: https://youtu.be/YPY7J-flzE8

Here's your first look at Paramount Pictures' A Quiet Place: Day One, starring Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o and Stranger Things breakout Joseph Quinn.

Day One is the third film in the blockbuster franchise A Quiet Place, launched with the 2018 pop culture sensation directed by and starring John Krasinski. The first film grossed $340MM at the worldwide box office and was recognized with nominations at the Academy Awards and Golden Globes.

Not much has been known about the plot of Day One, but it is based on an original idea from Krasinski. The film is written and directed by Pig filmmaker Michael Sarnoski. Producers are Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and Krasinski. Executive producers are Allyson Seeger and Vicki Dee Rock.

The trailer opens with footage from the first two films before the screen turns dark and the subtitle 'Day One' appears. At that point, we open in Manhattan. It's loud and bustling. We see Nyong'o navigating the city streets when a missile strikes and chaos ensues. The trailer states the film will hit cinemas in June.

Speaking about the pic at Cinemacon last year, Krasinski said: "One of my great joys has been in creating and expanding the Quiet Place universe."

The story, he revealed, is set within the same world but diverges from the Abbott family story. It follows Nyong'o's character as she navigates through the horrific first moments in "the loudest city in the world, New York."

The story "Takes us back to where it all began," he said.

Check out the trailer above.

{blackbabes} Cuba Gooding Jr., Vivica A. Fox, Vernon Davis & Quinton “Rampage” Jackson Join Thriller ‘Break The Cycle’

Cuba Gooding, Jr., Vivica A. Fox, Vernon Davis and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, 'Break the Cycle' stars

--

Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry Maguire), Vivica A. Fox (Kill Bill: Vol. 1), Vernon Davis (The Ritual Killer) and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (The A-Team) are set to star in Break the Cycle, an urban thriller marking the first screenplay by former NBA player Jarnell Stokes.

Others in the cast include Loretta Devine (Waiting to Exhale) and Kym Whitley (Next Friday). Production kicks off in Memphis in March.

Directed by Josh Webber (Never Heard), Break the Cycle delves into the lives of two brothers whose childhood is marred by a horribly tragic incident. Raised by their loving but stern grandmother, the brothers take radically different paths as they come of age in the gritty streets of Memphis.

Jay, a gifted basketball player with dreams of making it to the NBA, is a beacon of hope for his grandmother and a potential ticket out of their harsh reality. However, the allure of his charismatic yet troubled brother, Eddie, who's deeply entrenched in the world of street crime, casts a shadow over Jay's future.

"This film is a heart-pounding journey through the world of streetball that explores themes of family, ambition, and the moral complexities of urban life. It tells the story of navigating a treacherous path, an unfortunate reality for far too many young boys in our urban communities," said Stokes. "I'm so excited to have written my first film and honored to be working with such a tremendously talented group of actors to bring this project to life."

Said producers Goodrich and Armstrong: "What excites us about the script is its terrifying plausibility. It's essentially a true story. We're thrilled to be working with Jarnell, Josh and the entire team to bring Break the Cycle to the big screen for what will no doubt be a gripping thriller."

Added Fox: "I'm so proud to have the opportunity to work on such a meaningful film with an incredibly passionate group of people. I'm excited for 'Break the Cycle' and the impact I truly believe it will have. If it can motivate change or even a conversation in just one person's life, we'll have achieved something important."

In addition to Stokes, producers on Break the Cycle are Rob Goodrich and Jason Armstrong of Walk Like A Duck Entertainment. Henry Penzi is exec producing.

Gooding is repped by manager and attorney Peter Toumbekis; Fox by Sheila Legette Entertainment; Davis by UTA, manager Henry Penzi and Fox Rothschild; Jackson by Golden Foo Entertainment, Penzi Management and attorney Robert Galarza; Devine by Innovative Artists and Essential Talent Management; Whitley by Innovative Artists, 111 Media and Untitled Entertainment; and Webber by Penzi Management.
