Two famous faces from Genoa City's past are coming back to shake up its future, and TVLine has your exclusive first look at the pair's highly anticipated visit.

Beginning on Tuesday, April 7 (CBS, 12:30/11:30c), Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox are returning to "The Young and the Restless" as Malcolm Winters and Dr. Stephanie Simmons, a homecoming that immediately stirs up old feelings — and new drama.

"It feels good to be back," Malcolm tells Stephanie in the clip above. "How about you? Catching up and trading stories?" Stephanie says she was just "catching up" with someone, but Malcolm can tell that this was no ordinary chat. "It looks like it got a little heavy," he tells her. "Am I reading that right?"

After a thoughtful pause, Stephanie responds, "The past gets complicated, doesn't it?" (Um, on this show? That's the understatement of the century.)

Moore originally portrayed Malcolm from 1994 to 2005, making additional appearances in 2014 and 2019. His most recent visit to Genoa City came in 2023 to celebrate the show's 50th anniversary as well as to honor the memory of the late Kristoff St. John, who played Malcolm's brother Neil. Fox, on the other hand, has not returned to "Y&R" since her one-year stint as Stephanie ended in 1995.
