Lifetime has set six new original films to premiere this fall as part of its "Ripped from the Headlines" movie slate starring Heather Locklear, Ana Ortiz, Lyndsy Fonseca, Jackie Cruz, Sheila E. and Karrueche Tran. The new movies will air on Saturdays at 8 p.m./7 c.
These films join the previously announced movies, Buried Alive and Survived (Sept 21) starring Eva Marcille, and He Slid into Her DMs (Sept 28) with Courtney Thorne Smith.

The Girl Who Wasn't Dead

In Nobody Dumps My Daughter, after Jimmy breaks up with Theresa (Vega), her overbearing mother, Mary (Ana Ortiz), becomes obsessed with mending their relationship after learning that Jimmy took her daughter's virginity. Determined to reunite the couple, Mary does everything she can to convince Jimmy to change his mind… including bribing him. When her tactics fail, Mary becomes desperate and her meddling ways turn to murderous when she enlists the services of a fortune teller named Anna (Sheila E.) and a hitman to murder Jimmy in an attempt to reclaim her daughter's purity.

Husband, Father, Killer: The Alyssa Pladl Story
Starring Jackie Cruz, Matreya Scarrwener and Matthew MacCaull

In the movie, Alyssa (Cruz) and Steven (MacCaull) have an intense relationship and move in together when Alyssa is an impressionable teen. After they have a daughter of their own, their path takes a dark turn when Steven becomes physically abusive toward the infant. Alyssa senses the situation is dire and puts the child up for adoption…little does she know, that 18 years later their daughter, now named Katie (Scarrwener), would seek them out. After an instant connection when they reunite, Steven convinces Katie to move in with him, Alyssa and their two young daughters, promising her opportunities to pursue her passions. Steven starts neglecting the rest of the family and Alyssa finally has enough and moves out. When Alyssa discovers that Katie and Steven are having an affair and expecting, she confronts them and tries to convince Katie of Steven's abusive past. Katie refuses to listen until it's too late.

Mormon Mom Gone Wrong: The Ruby Franke Story(wt)

Together, six adorable kids, a loving husband, and Ruby (Ullerup) made up "8 Passengers," a web series documenting the group's everyday life and Ruby's LDS-influenced parenting style. Searching for a Serial Killer: The Regina Smith Story (wt)
Starring Karrueche Tran, Blair Penner and Ted Cole
Premieres on November 9th at 8/7c.
Karrueche Tran plays the inspirational real-life hero Regina Smith. A single mother determined to provide a safer world for her daughter, Regina joins the Dallas Police Department. As a rookie, Regina and her partner Eddie (Blair Penner) stumble upon the first victim of what would be many murders of female prostitutes by the notorious serial killer, Charles Albright (Ted Cole) whom the media dubbed "The Eyeball Killer," because he surgically removed the eyes of his victims. Despite only being months into the job and a woman in a profession dominated by men, Regina risks everything to get involved in the case. She discovers crucial evidence missed by FBI and city homicide detectives that lands her on the doorstep of a satanic killer.
