Going to a Beyoncé and Jay-Z concert is enough of a thrill for most, but imagine also walking away with a massive scholarship?
During the OTR II tour, the couple, through the singer's BeyGOOD initiative and the Shawn Carter Foundation, has been surprising a hardworking high school student at each stop with a $100,000 scholarship to pursue their academic dreams.
Teenager Isaac Guerrero received the award at Thursday night's show in San Diego. The high schooler, who intends to study art at NYU and become a comic book artist, told News10 he had no idea he'd be receiving the award let alone even been nominated.
"Words cannot describe it," he told the station about the scholarship, before adding: "I thank Jay-Z and Beyoncé from the bottom of my heart. They're going to make my dream come true."
The final OTR II Scholarship recipient will be announced during the tour's final American stop in Seattle on Oct. 4.
