Eric Dane has found his next TV role.
The former Grey's Anatomy and The Last Ship star has signed up to Euphoria, a gritty young adult drama pilot at HBO, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show is described as a story of "drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love and friendship."
Euphoria is based on the Israeli television show of the same name and will star Zendaya 17-year old Rue, the show's unreliable drug-addicted narrator. The adaptation is being written by Sam Levinson, who also wrote Wizard of Lies for the premium cable network.
Dane and Zendaya will be joined by 10 others, including Judd Apatow's daughter Maude Apatow. Brian Bradley, Angus Cloud, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer and Sydney Sweeney fill out the rest of the cast.
Dane currently stars on the post-apocalyptic drama The Last Ship on TNT, which will wrap its fifth and final season this summer.
