The Cosby Show star Lisa Bonet found disgraced comedian Bill Cosby "sinister" when working with him.
The 50-year-old actress played Cosby's on screen daughter Denise Huxtable in the hit 1980s U.S. TV sitcom.
Cosby, 80, who played genial family man Cliff Huxtable in the show, has faced dozens of claims of inappropriate behaviour, drugging, and sexual assault dating back to the 1960s, and is currently set to be tried over an alleged 2004 assault on a woman.
Bonet, who landed the role of Denise while still a teenager, told Net-A-Porter's online magazine PorterEdit that she was unaware of any incidents, but found being around the funnyman uncomfortable.
"There was no knowledge on my part about (Bill Cosby's) specific actions, but…there was just energy," she explained. "And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed."
The interview is the first time Bonet, who was rumoured to have a rocky relationship with Cosby, has directly commented on the allegations against him.
She added,"If I had anything more to reveal then it would have happened a long time ago. That's my nature. The truth will set you free. I don't need to say 'I told you so'. I just leave all that to karma and justice and what will be."
The star's daughter Zoe Kravitz, her eldest child who she shares with her first husband, rocker Lenny Kravitz, revealed last year that her mother wasn't surprised by the Cosby allegations.
Bonet now has two more kids, a son, Nakoa-Wolf, nine, and a daughter, Lola, 10, with current husband, Justice League star Jason Momoa.
Speaking about her relationship with Momoa, who she wed last year after more than a decade together, Bonet revealed that she fell in love with the musclebound actor almost immediately.
"I can't say it was full-on from the moment we saw each other, but we have been together from the day that we met," she explained. "In that moment, love came and it came big, and he did not run as I think a lot of men do. He basically picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, caveman style!"
